« on: May 15, 2011, 10:19:31 pm »
I was just wondering what is the most common thing for people the program the most on in this community.

I program most on computers but I'm starting on mobile devices

I'm pretty sure calcs will end up first, but I like to know numbers for these kind of things

I'm primarily a web developer (PHP, SQL, ASP) and computer software developer (ANSI C). I typically focus on whatever interests me at the given moment.

Beyond that, I also do a little Verilog HDL work and occasional TI-8x+ (hybrid) BASIC programming. I'm tempted to learn Z80 or 68k Motorola Assembly language for the heck of it. :)

I'm programming some libraries of thermodynamic properties of liquid water and steam for the TI-nspire because I needed it.
But I started programming in QBasic about 5 years ago and then complemented my skill programming the TI-83. Then I learned the basics of VB.net 2005 just to see how easy was it.
I also know matlab, but I prefer to spend my time creating tools I can use on university tests and exams.

So I'm kind of an advanced TI-BASIC programmer...

I personally have like programming on calculators more than computers -- though I know like 5 computer languages :P

I use:

-Ruby for general purpose applications, due to an IRB environment's easy debugging, which makes it perfect for proving points
-Java when I'm drunk and forget how bad it is
-Groovy to do stuff normally done in Java (simple games in stuff, usually in 3D with an openGL wrapper like JOGL or LWJGL)
-I used C like... one for computers XD
-I used C++  maybe twice :P

for calculators:

-I used to use BASIC for 84+ programs, but now I use mostly Axe and/or z80 assembly
-I use C for the prizm

I do Java and C/C++ for computer langs, and Axe, Ti-Basic for calcs. I actually know Z80 Asm, but I don't use it much.
I mostly do computer stuff.

EDIT: So, now that annoyingorange has mentioned scratch, I realize I didn't include: Scratch, C# (I'm a beginner), PHP (beginner), Javascript, and I develop for Android as well.
