Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

I personally know the founder and retired admin of this very website, DJ_O. And the funny part in this is that I first met him here on Omnimaga :P
On top of that it's someone who invited you here. Now imagine if he didn't O.O

I haven't met anybody IRL, but I have gotten to know a bunch of the community pretty well. I use to regularly game with a few of them, and skype.

Actually, I do know one person who can code.... But not on omnimaga. But he doesn't really count since the most advanced program he ever made was one that takes the number that you input and adds 10 to it. He calls it.... Plus 10!

Come to think of it, I've taught like five people how to code in BASIC.  They all ended up taking up so much RAM with their BASIC endeavors that they didn't have enough memory to run anything else.  Then, they spazzed out because they thought they "hacked" their own calcs. :evillaugh:

In my case I did not bother teaching BASIC to people IRL. It took 10 minutes per people to teach them how to archive/unarchive a program and 5 to access the memory menu so I can't imagine how long it would have taken before they can code a simple game.

Also the funny thing is that in recent years, given how people where I live in general are, I was better friend with some of the TI community people than anyone I've met IRL first and I ended up pretty close to some people of the community for a while.

One thing to make sure when inviting people, however, is to ensure that they're gonna follow the forum rules. :P
