"gaga" - go crazy over.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/gaga
I believe it is onomatopoeia for the sound a crazy person might make.

If we exclude happy hardcore and eurodance this is the kind of techno I listen too (those are my three favourite trance songs in order)
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=mE7Yzr4DoUc&feature=related
or the first song in this video:
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=um-GMygsRg4
My third favourite trance song is the second version of 7 Colours by Lost Witness, but i only found the first on Youtube
All the songs are in the 1999-2002 range btw

@Dj Omnimaga you like Stratovarius too?!? Sweet
You definitly have to check out Dream Theater then. They are very much like Stratovarius except their music is more varried and they are a bit more talented.
@MSR5; Examples of speed metal are Dragonforce, Iron maiden and Black label society. IE they play fast and lots of hammer ons. Progressive rock is more of like Pinkfloyd, and the bands Yes and Kansas. They may include some fast stuff but tend to have more instrumental stuff and incorparate elements from other genres.

DJ Omnimaga, they do a lot of really fast stuff. I'm not a big fan though...
art_of_camelot, that's a completely false definition of prog.

They have some really good fast stuff too, like the album "Train of thought" for example. Most of their albums have a mix of fast and slow though. I also highly recomend listening to the album "Awake", it is my favorite one.
Fun fact; when looking for a new keyboard player after their original one left Jens Johansson (who enventually joind stratovarious) was one of the many who auditioned.
@Super speeler My definiton of progressive rock is wrong? I would say its a bit over simplified, but not wrong.

No, it's wrong. Plenty of prog is uber-fast and it doesn't need long instrumental sections to be prog (a lot of prog just tends to have these sections). The incorporating stuff from other genre's line is only true but irrelevant, all music does.

I have never heard any progressive rock that is as fast as speed metal, and I was using this more for descriptive purposes than anything to give a general idea of what it sounds like . I said they tend to include more instrumental stuff because usually, they do. I never stated that for something to be labeled progressive rock it had to have large instrumental sections either .
