you type the notes you're playing, AS you are playing them. :gah:
Actually, no.
It's something that and few friends from the JerryC forums and I started doing, we would all get on Skype, and jam. Take turns playing, or maybe state and key, and someone would to chord progressions while the others take turns playing lead and improvising. Or sometimes we just play. It's really, really fun.

Yeah. I have a Line 6 Pod XT Live multi-effects processor, which can hook up through the USB, but if you don't have something like that, you can easily plug your guitar/bass or amp into the computer through the Line-In jack (assuming you have a 1/4 in. -> 1/8 in. converter.
Or, if you have a good enough mic, I supposed you could play through that. Your MacBook has a built-in mic, right? That would probably work if you had no other option.

If you do, that's great. Our online jams are just that: jamming.. We don't do songwriting much, if at all.

btw do you do your own music or play alerady existing tracks? That would be cool if the community started making their own rock music with real instruments so the tracks could be released here

I.E., the TI Band.
By the way, if I did a cover of something like
could I submit it? Or even better, could we have a "Cover's" section of the music downloads?

>> I used to play keyboard very well. I would listen to a song on a radio and then prompty go and make and record my own MIDI remix of it. Now, I create music in ModPlug Tracker (OpenMPT).
>> I don't sing.
