I love My Christian rock.
and If You were in a sonic and a weirdly decorated 15 pasenger van pulled out music blaring. That Was Us.

same here, i dont like rock much unless its really into metal and usually metal means=the exact opposite of religion

Most christian rock songs stuff I've heard so far are extremely straight-forward... reciting bible verses, simple stories, and the like. Too simple-minded for my taste.

I _do_ like some christian heavy metal bands, however... growl for redemption

I like some Christian rock... like Casting Crowns.

I like a lot of what Acapella (the group) does too. As their name implies... there are no instruments in their music except that of the human voice. It is amazing at what the human voice is capable of.

But my favorite Christian music is probably some good ol' gospel music from the Oak Ridge Boys -- yeah I listen to the Oaks, they are probably one of my most favorite groups of all time. :oops:

They are more well known for their country music though.

There are a lot of religious metal bands, even popular ones. Or at least bands who have songs influenced by religion. Especially folk and gothic bands. It's just that not as many bands are strictly about Christianity - and yes that certainly isn't the majority of metal.

For me it's mostly death metal (-54125+ish) or nothing. Maybe some stoner metal or goth, but in any case that doesn't leave much room for Christian metal bands. In any case music about exclusively Christianity doesn't suit me.

Hats off for the vocal talents of gospel though.

I do like some christian rock bands, but I think the recording quality of a lot of christian bands is somewhat weak. Not that the songs or the artists are bad, just that they were recorded bad. TFK and Skillet are amazing, though.

Not a great fan of dragon force, way too self-indulgent like most other pretentious hairy men metal. That's something christian rock/metal lacks though, it's all aimed at the big bearded fellow in the sky.
