« on: November 18, 2011, 11:12:58 pm »
Here are some of my favorite classical pieces written in somewhat of an order in rank.

1. Fantasie impromptu- Chopin
2. Waldstein sonata- Beethoven- Mostly mov 1
3. Moonlight sonata- Beethoven- Mostly mov 3
4. Heroic polonaise- Chopin
5. Appasionata sonata- Beethoven- Mostly mov 3
6. Pathetique sonata- Beethoven- Mostly mov 1 and 3
7. The tempest sonata- Beethoven- Mostly mov 3

Have any others? :)

I wonder if this count as classical?

If so, then this might be my favorite piece. I also like The Chariot of Fire and Cannon in D.

Quite ironic that I listen to Yanni - Nostalgia then go straight to Metallica - Damage Inc afterward. O.O

Ah yes Fantasie-Impromptu is one of the best. I've even tried learning it myself, made some progress.
Also I like Revolutionary Étude, Op. 10, no. 12 also by Chopin
I can play quite well Polonaise in A major, Op. 40 No. 1 "Military"
also one of my favourites.
I have heard of Heroic but I can't remember what it sounds like.
EDIT: Aha I know now. How could I forget that melody...

PS: Chopin music is technically from the Romantic Era...

I like Toccata and Fugue in D from Bach very much.
Furthermore the Mattheus Passion. And a lot of others.
I'm not a nerd but I pretend:
