I don't know if there's a way to do it in Allegro.  But if you have Human Playback in Finale Allegro, see if there's a "Human Playback Custom Style dialog box" where you can check the checkbox entitled "String Harmonics"

I do have Human Playback!  I'll go check it out...

EDIT: Hmm....It was already checked...maybe I'm doing something else wrong.  The little diamond symbol above the note is used to denote harmonics, right?

Also, make sure Human Playback style is set to "Standard" instead of "None."  That was always one of my problems.  Yes, the little diamond above the note is used to denote harmonics.  Just make sure that the diamond note is a PERFECT FOURTH above your desired note.

Hmm, diamond?... Normally they are written as circles...  Or a diamond shaped note when playing false harmonics to denote which is the harmonic...  And not just perfect fourths, also string octaves =P (Also, are you writing both notes in the false harmonics?)

Hmmmm...interesting, I thought octaves were only used for natural harmonics

I've been looking, and I think it should work, but how do you change the notehead to be diamond?  I can place a diamond above a note with the articulation tool, but I can't figure out how to make the actual notehead a diamond.

Diamond + regular @ fourth (+- circle) = false harmonic; (Diamond/regular) + circle @ octave of string = natural harmonic

Does Allegro have plugins?

Use the "easy harmonics" plug-in.  Select the notes that are perfect fourths and then run this plugin to turn the top note into a harmonic note
