I have decided to form a TI based band where we sing about TI Calculators and stuff like that... anyway since I decided I have gotten Netham45 to agree to sing (whether this is good or not we will find out...) and I'll play bass and write.
We currently need:
-Drummer
-Piano Player
-Guitar Player
-Flute Player (WOOT!)
-Various People on Various Instrumets willing to play solos
-Writers
All people who join must have a way to record traks so that we can play together (you send me your track and I'll send record over it etc.).
We also need a name...
Official IRC channel is #TIBAND

ooooh they had this on maxcoderz, but their forums were separate. I wonder if ppl would be interested in joining, it would be cool. :D

if more ppl are interested maybe i could have a section for music here
I wish dysfunction still visited the forums :(
-
I can also play notes on my calculator.
-
I just wish I had a way to record this would be cool what is the band going to be like hardcore or pop
-
I want to focus on pycodelic (sp?), rock or funk which are all really fun to write for, but would be willing to do anything really besides Hip-Hop or Metal types, Killerplayer, do you play anything? If so I can probably get you the minimum equipment for recording pretty cheap (with some research...).
-
Yes I have been playing guitar for 2 1/2 years but I don't think you would like my playing cause I play like From First to Last guitarist Travis Ritcher(look at my signature and see their image :)
)
-
Heh, right now any guitar player would do... I don't care about your style of playing honestly as long as you like to play and if you want to join this. Don't worry about recording, really all you need is a couple adapters an amp a computer and some software to record for this.
-
Any updates?
-
I have:
a guitar + 5 years exp.
a bass + 2 years exp.
a bass amp
a computer
multiple A\V editing programs
I don't have:
Amp->Computer adapters
I'd join, but I don't qualify...
-
Your In!
-
JincS, if you want to join you can, I don't see why you wouldn't qualify.
-
Yeah man, you fit perfectly.... Now only if you could play all of those at once...
-
Well he can, since we are recording in tracks...
-
yeah to bad dysfunction doesnt post here, his bro plays drums and he plays the guitar.
-
he used to be one of the most active member on this forum (5 post per day at least), until he moved on from calc programming back in march 2006 :(

Awsome, you can join. Basically, I'm going to have to buy a new adapter to record (I lost my old one) then record a simple bass beat using a metronome to help me keep the speed. I'll tell you guys what notes I'm playing and I'll make sure this is a long song (10 or so minutes) so as to allow one solo to everyone who wants one. Basically, I'll give the recording to you, you record what you want over it, you give your version to someone else etc. and we leave lots of space for solos.
The first two orders of buisness:
-We need some TI related lirics, as CHEESY as possible.
-Most importantly, we need a name, something that says, "I'm a TI-Geek but I still rock more and harder then you or any of your other loser HP freinds, I stick my finger of TI-ness at you".
-
I'll have to come up with some way to record (hopefully that won't be too hard...). Can anyone else here read/write tablature (for guitar & bass). That would simplify the process of putting together stuff that sounds good...
Names (you wanted corny, right?):
Graphic Mashers
Homescreen Freaks
T.I.I.T.
Xtremely Basic
Assembly of Rock
z80

hm... I do sing adequately, I suppose. I was in the "Freiburger Domchor" for 7 years and we had some neat church-sponsored tournees to japan, south africa and stuff :D

I tried to learn keyboard, but still can't do more than a few chords and... ah well x.x
And I do not have anything to record with that has a high enough quality (headset)

JinCS, *Super Speler

More corny names:
*68' z80 (A Chevy Camaro, but I don't think the z80 (the car) was out in 1968...)
*Solid 68K
*Ionic Mayhem
*The Doors CS ( :P
j/k)
Song names (uber-lame):
Garbage Collect
Leaking Memory
Cryptic Library
Bass-ically (N.I.B. - Black Sabbath :P
)
Forgotten Archive
Sprite Wars
RAM It Down (lol Judas Priest)
Push My Buttons
-
I like xtremely basic

More news: I've been told that I am getting exactly what I want for X-Mas, because it's cheap and practical: a PCI card for my compy that will let me plug my guitar/bass/whatever in and record it! Yay!
And I'm getting an 8-channel mixer board, so that'll be nice too...
-
Can't wait for Xtr3m3ly BASIC's great hit 'Garbage Collect.'
As long as these songs can fit oncalc with whatever its turned into I'm happy. :)
EDIT OMG 768th POST NOW I CAN STOREPIC 1!!!!

On calc... hmm...
