[solved!!] LCD screen...no datasheets?
« on: August 14, 2012, 04:40:15 pm »
A friend gave me a small alphanumeric LCD screen to use for my homemade computer project, but I can't find any datasheets or documentation for it online. It is made by Data Vision, and there are 2 numbers on the board: "P129-1A", and "16252-S2RP". Does anyone know where I could get some information on this display?

You might want to ask your friend where he got this LCD, that could give some clues.

Also how much pins has your screen?

I couldn't find anything about a P129-1, but I did find a P124-1. Perhaps the numbers could have been read incorrectly. Do you have a picture of it?
Current projects:
Sunθ v4.0 (Solar Position Calculator) (on hold)
CBLLight/CBLTherm (TI-Z80 only)
CBLM (68k only)

I did ask him, and he told me it uses the HD44780 chip which is very well documented, so problem solved.

14 pins.
