I think I'd have to get a second ticket for this beast T_T
Then TSA thinks it's illegal :P

Looks weird and non-portable but still cool nonetheless. My main complain about laptops was that the screen was usually too small since I prefer 20+ inch screens but then I know it wouldn't be a laptop anymore. :P

This screen is 4:3 && 19 inch. Definitely much larger than most laptops :3

That's pretty neat Keoni. I definetly think some sort of portable power supply would be a nice addition if you can manage it.

There is now a power strip inside the laptop O.O You just need one power cable to run the whole thing. I might get rid of this power strip and solder the power directly into the screen and PSU, but for now it works.

But TSA might think it's a dangerous thing :P

and would you drain an airplane of power with that plugged in for a long time?

Carry-on would be this, unless you add straps

All of the parts are fcc approved, so it is legal to bring it with me. I think they would dismantle it to search for drugs and weapons though x.x

Indeed. The issue is mostly if they think it's a bomb

That's what I was thinking from the start :P
Just didn't dare to phrase it for unknown reasons.

Wouldn't overcharging (does it have a battery?) blow up the battery?

He already said that it doesn't have a battery.

But that works pretty well on a normal laptop. Yes, even inside an airplane.

It has no explosive parts except for capacitors maybe, but you can hold one against your skin and when it explodes you'd be fine (You'd just smell really bad)

I added a diskette drive on the side yesterday. It is stacked on top of the harddisk and fits under the keyboard. When I get rid of the power strip there will be some more space to add things. I could add a battery for powering things like lights, my usb fan, a small 5 watt dremel tool or for charging my phone, but the pc won't run off it.

I had a capacitor explode very close to my face once. Luckily I was not hit, but the whole room smelled funny afterwards. This capacitor was quite a bit beefier than the ones you have on a motherboard.
