Quick review of the iEdge DS Flash Cart.
This card enables you to play both homebrew and commercial games/applications on your DS, as well as watch movies, videos, listen to music, view pictures, and more.  Homebrew applications allow you to browse the web, use IRC, check email, and more.  Some of my favorite homebrews are DS Organize (web browser and more), SNEmulDS (SNES emulator), Lameboy (GBC Emulator), and WabbitDS (Calc Emulator).  Moonshell is also great, its a media application.  Moonshell is also skinnable.
The Flash Cart itself it also nice.  It is sturdy, durable, and accepts a micro-sd card.  The firmware is nice, and it is skinnable, which can make it look awesome.  It comes with DLDI built in (this only matters if you know what DLDI is), and has built in support for cheats on tons of games.  The card is compatible with the DS, DS Lite, and DSi.
Installation is a bit of a hassle, but if you follow the instructions, you can have a functional iEdge card in a few minutes.

I give it a 9/10, and it only looses one point because of the installation hassle.  Once you get past that, it is awesome.

Hmm.. I have an old R4 that only works on the DS lite and below. Maybe I'll invest in one of these so I can use it on my DSi as well. ^^.

i prefer acekard 2i as it is only $14  in most places.

note: supercard 2 can emulate gba games on the ds and dsi

quoat: Well... my DS can already run GBA games so I wouldn't need that last one. The old DS had backwards GBA compatibility. I wonder why Nintendo got rid of it..

its because they want to force a new gen. of gaming.

ok, im looking into purchasing one of these at the end of this month. dstwo features sound enticing, but im kind of put off by the fact that i cant find their shop on the site, and a google search yields a top result of a person complaining about never receiving his...

Yeah it sucks for people who loved those old games. M$ did the same with Xbox 1 Live. They shut down original games online service to only keep it up for 360 games. I wouldn't be surprised if future versions of the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 got rid of Gamecube, Xbox and PS1/2 backwards compatibility.

Actually, there is an awesome story about this.  A group of dedicated Halo 2 players were devastated when Microsoft announced Xbox Live would be shut down for classic Xbox games.  So, they didn't stop playing.  They left their consoles on 24/7 and stayed logged into Xbox Live, playing Halo 2 after the servers were shut down.  These players kept playing and playing, as several of them began to disconnect due to power outages, network problems, and consoles overheating.  The last player was kicked off 26 days after they had begun playing - 26 days after Xbox Live had been shut down.
Just goes to show how dedicated some people are to their games.
