Yeah, I saw. Pretty sad, really.

On Cemetech the comic was received negatively, too, but they did not defend TI and the like, like Nelson did. People were more upset at the bashing of graphing calculators, I think, and probably did not get the joke. What was posted on the TI group is sad.

I initially subscribed to this group for the hacking talk, but I soon noticed that most of the convo was 'teacher spam' or similar stuff. The tinspire group sucks, it really  does. </rant>

Well, this group is mostly aimed at teachers, so it's not quite surprising that most of the conversation is teacher-oriented :)
That said, being a teacher doesn't necessarily mean be anti-users and anti-games (most people there seem to be), critor is living proof of that.

Well, subscribing to the group was a bad assessment of mine. I thought it was created by Nspire hackers, but it turned out differently.

XKCD is popular. This was cited in almost all forums and sometimes more than 1 thread per forum.
It is without funny. It is a comic, it should be funny so don't worry too much about technical stuff.
Sorry the around 10 MHz, he says around so it is not incorrect and actually not far from the average of 6 and 15MHz. Plus 10 seems a 10x less than  the 100 MHz.
The resolution, ram, etc. were corrected.

Relatively interesting read. Shows the other side (opposite of open community).
I did not read the entire topic but too bad no one noted that was released a fractal program by Levak and a better TI-84+SE emulator to Nspire so development to Nspire is not game oriented. They see ticalc news and Nelson admits don't visit TI-Bank.

Side note: For some reason I thought I would not be comfortable if I met Nelson Sousa. :-\

From Nelson Sousa: "ticalc.org's forum is almost near to useless"   Uh....ticalc doesn't actually have a forum, and he didn't mention omnimaga, cemetech, or TIBD.

did someone on there say that jailbreaking iphones/itouch/ipad's is illegal? Well have we got some news for them :P as of yesterday, it is completely legal in the states :P
