Pictures of your computer(s)?
« on: September 17, 2011, 08:48:57 am »
How many computers do you have / and / any pictures of them?

Here's my new Samsung R540:

Sorry about the brightness, my phone camera is awful.

I have another old desktop computer running Xubuntu 11.04, but it's stored downstairs since I never use it.

Well this new computer came with Windows 7 and I just realized how much I've been missing...

:)

Thing is, Windows 7 is really great, I think it beats Ubuntu by a lot personally.  Though, Debian however...

Also, I have about 8 computers, one ran Windows 2.1, another Win 98, another Win XP, and the three in use are my dad's business comp (running vista), mine (vista), and a generic family one (Win7).  Oh, and an Apple II and a Comoddore 64 and 128 :)

Edit: soon to be 9, getting a laptop today/tommorow, and I'll see how it fares with Win7 (I mean, it's a $500 one with an i3 processor, so... It should be rather fast) and if it doesn't, I'm following souvik's advice and loading it with the #! Debian variety.

Edit: spry, it was actually going to be the same as your Samsung R540 :) however my dad just agreed to go with an i5 version.  Still Samsung, since for non-commercial laptops, they are among the best producers.

I heard Ubuntu wasn't as great as it used to since the latest version and that the previous ones were actually better than Windows 7 though?

Also Windows 2.1?? O.O At school I remember some ran on 3.1 but not 2.1 lol. I don't feel as old anymore now :P

I only have 2 computers personally and my bro has 2 too, one which is in the closet somewhere. We don,t have more because when I was younger we could not even afford a single one. The unused two runs XP, my bro's newer comp Vista and my current machine 7.

I should probably do that too at one point. :P

I actually have a Benq G2410HD 23.56 inch LCD monitor, an HP HPE-150f desktop computer (Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.8GHz with 8 GB of RAM) and the keyboard/mouse are the ones that came with the computer right now. I thought about getting a gaming keyboard at one point, though.
