Silver Shadow's Robot Project
« on: December 27, 2010, 02:21:02 pm »
A friend and I have made a line-following robot as a college project. Here are some photos and the C source file (yes, I know it isn't optimized, is in French, and doesn't use functions. It's just that I'm too used to TI-BASIC :P).

I never really liked electronics and hardware, but good luck! Will it have some kind of sensor to follow the line or it will have the path pre-computed?

Cool, I'm not into hardware/robotics but it's cool to see some people around here interested into robotics/hardware mods. :)

Good luck and remember that if you plan to go with wireless signals, you will probably end up tearing your hair out in frustration.  :)

I was interested in Lego robotics back in the days and I played with K'Nex stuff too, but Legos were too expensive so we had to stick to the ones we had and K'nex motors were battery hogs. I lost interest in Legos around 13 years old then I went more into game creation and the like. In fact, in my last 2 years into Legos, I just RP'ed with figurines and a calculator

Don't worry, it will be fully autonomous, without any signal reception of any kind.

Added a small drawing of the sensors' disposition. The black line is the line the robot is supposed to follow.

Nice, when you finish the robot itself and get it to work, will you post a Youtube video of it? :D
