The product of my boredom
« on: May 17, 2007, 02:35:00 am »
Ok, I got bored a couple of days ago, and I had a copy of Half-Life, a computer, and a USB drive.

Did anyone know you can run Half-Life off of a USB stick??? Now all I need is a no-cd patch. :)smile.gif

Of course, I have to use a program called Ceedo ( http://www.ceedo.com ) to emulate a portable registry on the drive to run it, but hey, as long as it runs Im happy. :)smile.gif

I didn't know Half-Life could do that, but I already used it for Halo (trial on my USB) and complete with simply inserting CD.

It's very useful for me because my parents won't let me install games :(sad.gif .

nice finding that out ^^
Uhm... don't the loading times increase drastically when playing from a USB stick?

@graywolf: With me it's the other way around: I won't let my mum install anything. ^^
You could get something like Truecrypt and create a virtual encrypted partition, password protected.

Yeah that's right Spellshaper I do the same thing because my mom is so computer inept that she would probaly see 'Download Trojan Virus Now" and she would click Install haha. I was actually being serious.

Oh my... I guess there are really people that click on anything that looks clickable and has an exclamation mark tacked to it.
