Doesn't the Wii have an external chip to emulate a GC?If so, Wii >> GC (Yes, Wii shifted right GC bits)Edit: Does the WiiU still have this?
I don't think size matters with a home console. It's not like you need to move it around a lot.
Erm, wasn't the Atari 2600 the first console to have analog sticks? Also I am unsure if being a cube is a big innovation/difference that is enough to sell a console, but it was surely MUCH smaller than other consoles. I always hated how the Playstation 2 and Xbox were as big as a NES early on. EDIT Nervermind, the Atari 2600 controller didn't have an analog stick. It was digital it seems (although in joystick form rather than d-pad)Also I think one main selling point of the GameCube might have been its ridiculously low price compared to its competitors. Only 2 years after its release over here we could get a new one for $129.99 or so. After 2 years here, the Wii was still $279.99.Offtopic: Do you remember the original Xbox controller? That thing was so big... . If you had small hands, you had to buy a third-party one that is smaller.Of course it isn't as bad as in this pic, but they're still 2x bulkier than 360 controllers.
Wind Waker HD is also known as emulation through Dolphin. Thanks to the liberal use of Cel-shading, model quality is less important, and you can get extremely high resolutions, not to mention filtered textures
