1025: You are convinced that 1024 is a round number, like 1000 usually is.

1026. You got angry when you couldn't find the calc section in staples

1027. You got angrier when you learnt that they no longer carry graph link cables for the 83+

1028. You were relieved when the guy helping you said he could try and order for you.

1029. Your rage broke when he said he couldn't order it.

1030. You've posted more than 5 signs at once.

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

I think 1 KiB == 1000 B and 1 Ko == 1024, right? Or was it 1 K == 1000 B?

Companies advertises 2000000000 bytes hard drives as 2 terabytes to make them look larger, even though they have 1.86 terabytes of space, 0.1 of which is used by a partition loaded with crap. On the TI-83+SE, there is 1.4685 MB of archive memory available for the user, but it's advertised as 1.54 MB. TO be exact, 1540096 bytes of archive are available for the user (94 pages)

I think sometimes it's to round it up and to make it easier for the user, but other times it's to attract more customers.

K (as in kilo) is exactly 1000. Ki (as in kibi (as in 2^10)) is exactly 1024: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix :)

Ah, right. This can be confusing. X.x

This also means Microsoft did a mistake in Windows because to them, it seems that K is 1024. :P

I believe that KB originally was 1024, but then some dudes decided to change it to 1000 and create KiB instead.

Ah, that could be why. Maybe most softwares didn't update so it won't confuse less tech-savy people.

What I hate most is n00b running around my school with TI84+ SE's who don't even program and only have the Finance application...

and then they yell at me for downloading a 2k program to their calc :P >:(

1031: You get a derailed topic in randomness back on topic. ;-)
1032: You are excited because you posted a number that ends in 32 or 2^5
1033: You have a paper to write, but can't because you can't leave omnimaga.

1034: You spent all day on Omnimaga, then, at the end of the day (3-4AM for some) you realize you didn't do whatever homework you had to do that day.
