On a side note, I could almost turn Omni into a social network if I wanted. There are SMF mods allowing social profiles. However, they're buggy and most allow stuff like blogs and sharing videos. I would rather prefer if people would continue sharing that stuff on the forums. I guess I could always add such mod in the future, though.

Besides that, a like/tweet button besides news or new topics would be nice I think, although it would have to be updated often since FB often updates their layout.

1146. You wish Omnimaga, Axe, etc. Had facebook pages.

1147. If such pages exist, you'd like them and suggest them to all your friends.

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

1148. You repeatly poke staff until they makes such page.

Seriously, it's not a bad idea, Omnimaga updates directly in your Facebook wall, that could be nice.

Yeah, I think it would be nice as long as that page has no discussion board, to ensure that the forum activity is not split by the FB page, since many people spend so much time on FB. X.x

Yep, I think there are no discussion boards on pages, only for groups or something like that...

And anyway, I don't really care about these discussion boards, as they are well hidden in the interface. The average people will only click that Like button, then comment on whatever you posted on your wall, maybe even post little messages. IMHO, the real board is more suited for serious business while Facebook is more intended for posting links like, "hey come on Omnimaga we did this, this happened" and things like that, like whatever you normally post on Facebook, and for promotion ("<insert your name here> likes Omnimaga"). Still, would be fun to see what happens on Omni on Facebook.

Yeah I was thinking more about a page, actually, since groups tends to draw activity away.

Another thing that would be nice is a like button on Omni, so people can also post the stuff on their page.

1149. Creating an Omnimaga wikipedia page. I bet you got this wrong, but I mean a page like:

www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/omnimaga

I think it deserves one already :)

Sadly Wikipedia only allows articles about notable organizations that accomplished stuff for the world or notable companies that were very popular. United-TI had a page back in 2006, but it got deleted since it violated Wikipedia's policies. Even ticalc.org has no page there. I believe Kerm tried to have one for Cemetech, but to no avail. To be considered as WIkipedia-worthy, we would most likely need to accomplish the OTcalc project and it would need to be very popular, maybe even as much as HP or Casio calcs.

That said, the site link can always be added to pages such as Calculator gaming, TI-83 Plus or that stuff, if they exists, since it would probably be relevant.

Omnimaga is listed as a reference in the TI-84 Plus Series article, actually. That article was what made me find Omnimaga :)

Really? I know it was listed in the 83+ one, along with several other sites, but then someone removed it because it was considered as advertising and that only the main TI community hub should be referenced (in this case, Ticalc.org)

Yeah, it's still listed on the main 83+/84+ page under the Communities heading and on the 84+ page as a reference (for the 84+ hardware change).

It's also one of the links on the MLC page.
