the 84 was the same price 2 years ago *if you go on vernier.com
you calculator has a diffrent processor, and it only runs at 15MHz
i dont, but i also dont get bored like you do and i enjoy looking smarter than you* this seems to be a steriotype

hmm, gossamer could be ported too, and i bet it could support images

Last year I got the nspire with the 84+se keypad and everyone was like WTF is that?  Keep in mind that my school is mostly (98%) 84's, and at that time nobody else had or even knew what an nspire was.  Now I have the CX CAS and its the only one in the entire school ;D.  Some people ask "why did you buy that instead of an 84?"  My reply, it'll run circles around you're 84 (overclocked to 222mhz vs 15mhz), crystal clear screen, color, lighter/thinner, mouse/touch pad, rechargeable battery, CAS, and its just plain bad-ass.  And now with Ndless, it kicks even more butt 8)  Only problem is I can't use the CAS on the state tests, but my non-cas nspire comes to the rescue!  Sorry if I offended any 84 fans, I'm just an nspire fan. :D

wow, that is entirely true but my school is about 99% 8x and i own the only two color screen calcs, in probably a 40 mile radius, i also cant use the CX CAS on the act, but my old handy clickpad i can, or i guess now i could use my prizm...

I used to have an old 83+ when everyone else seemed to have an 84. Then I got my first Nspire and everyone thought it was a computer. XD

Now I have my 83+, CX, and Prizm but no one seems to notice in College, which is all very well and good imo. :)

Not as many people bothering me now. ;) :P

With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

When a couple of girls at my school got a hold of my Nspire they were so amazed that it had a file system and text editor. They were like "OMG! It's like a freaking computer!" My school uses 84+'s and not one person in the entire school can program them besides me. So I make a lil money sending little math programs and games.

They usually ask about Mario and Pokemon for me. Especially on the Nspire CX. But otherwise, the EXACT same questions. It's unnerving... :P

Yeah I'm known for this at school and when we were doing factoring quadratics quite a few people asked me to give them my quadratic factoring program(84+SE). I didnt have a cable and I'm too lazy to retype it so I said no :P

I used to be the guy that you Never, under Any circumstances, trust your calculator with. Doing so would result in a virus that locks up your calc for up to five minutes, or a really bad rickrolling. :P :trollface:
