IRC means Internet Relay Chat. It's an old chatting protocol where you chat in group in chatrooms, but unlike MSN chatrooms, IRC channels are permanent. For example you can quit then rejoin later. It's also easier to moderate and more popular. YOu need a software like mIRC or X-Chat to use it. Our channel, #omnimaga, is located on irc.efnet.org (a list of servers is avaliable on http://www.efnet.org if irc.efnet.org won't let you connect). There is also the Java client in the navbar, but on some ISPs you cannot change your nickname :(

Lol I know what IRC is :P Im not COMPLETELY naive to this stuff...although I guess I probably was until Nathaniel and I started going out..but hey! I am proud of what I DO know lol :P

Oh I was explaining to Gale, since he asked what it is.^^

Also yeah the best thing to do is lurk or check the logs to get used to it, altough there are so many kinds of talk there. I myself can't understand half of it :P

Let's not get too spammish in intro section either, though, sircmpwn. It's inevitable this section will be random but it shouldn't go too much out of hand either so it won't make new peopel think Omnimaga is a spam site x.x
