Greetings from Hellsing
«

Hello! Greetings from Portugal and the major Faculty of Engineering from Lisbon (IST), when I graduated in Physics and some extra stuff in Mathematics.
My pen name is a very famous anime vampire protagonist: Arucard (or Alucard), and since then every forum or discussion board I use this pseudonym.
Since this forum is a general calculator/mathematic software discussion, I decided to join to share my projects which alone I don't have any chance to make it real.
The main crazy project that I have about ten years dream it
was to create the first color based calculator handled, even before the PRIZM come to the shops! Even this crazy stuff was to be impossible to achive with my non-existent resources, some of my thoughts was writing in a white-paper that I will publish in another thread.
Since my graduate fields in Physics and Mathematics, I will publish some funny threads to share my knowledges.
p.s. Sorry to my biased english grammar.

Heya and welcome here.
For custom calc projects you could possibly look around the forums in case you might want to help on an existing one or if you need help, as someone had plans to start working on one as well. And yeah I think the first color calc ever was in 1995 from Casio, but it only supported 3 colors at once and lacked assembly support (unless you flashed the ROM chip)

Hello Nosferatu Arucard 1983! I've seen some of the Hellsing OVA series, and it's pretty freaking awesome. I really love the style.
If you have any projects in the works, please feel free to post them.
And yea, Alucard (from Hellsing) was an old AIM screen name of mine, but I don't really use it anymore.

Welcome I always love talking to people with an interest in math and science(specifically physics or chemistry).
I'd love to see some of your stuff. Do you program much?

I will show quick as possible my comunity project: Maxima OS (since I don't have too much programming knowledge).
(My ideia is to create a new lighter and modern GUI for Maxima running on a Linux OS, which can be used in a potencial calculator, or ported trivially to a computer).
However, my first calculator program that I created myself was a Asteroid like game for the old Casio fx-7000G calculator! (Unfortunally, all source code was lost
)
It was a little troublesome to code a graphic (very primitive) game for a calculator for which don't have more than 2 kb of RAM (422 bytes user avaliable!
)
[wikipedia]Casio_fx-7000G[/wikipedia]
For now, I will anounce a real progress for Android smartphones and Tablets...
A full Maxima port for every Android device was achived
https://sites.google.com/site/maximaonandroid/
It's totally free and open-source, so your cheap Android smartphone now have the best open-source CAS on the planet, and can make excellent 2D and 3D graphic plots!

Wow, that looks pretty cool 0.0 I don't have much technology except my computer and calculators, so I won't be able to try it, but a free CAS is pretty awesome o.o

How did you code such a game on a FX-7000G?
There are no getkey function or whatever to move the ship around to shoot asteroids
