Hey, welcome.

Yeah, omnimaga is in my opinion the best site for basic game design.

Well, at least lib-enhanced BASIC, altough in the last few months of the old board and since this board opened there have been more and more people experienced with pure BASIC, too

I think that calculator game wise, Omni is the most active too, then UTI would come next (more active, but fewer game topics)

Welcome once more to Omnimaga. Here you'll find a wide variety of people and games, and you're free to roam about as you please. Just don't mind the red pool leaking from the janitor's closet. Thats umm...paint. Cos we're remodeling in there.

The .. "remodeling" was supposed to be a secret.. -.-

Welcome to the boards, and Omni has a plethora of better basic programs/games than UTI (in progress at least).

UTI had some amazing BASIC games though,  and Weregoose is amazing at pure basic. However, starting on 2008, their BASIC archives went downhill, though. Before that they would only accept good programs, but then in 2008 they started accepting every little barely useful programs like password protecting in BASIC, BASIC shells, math programs that has been made 100 times before, extremly simple game clones of other games. I think when they restore the download section they should start filtering bad or useless programs again like they used to do.

Cemetech is almost as active as UTI, but there are fewer calc discussion, since a lot of the regulars there moved to computer stuff and few people are into game programming there. Then would come MaxCoderz, Revsoft and TI-Freakware. However with DarksunDS trolling/flaming for no reason (altough his "stop spamming" comments in the Zelda thread would have been fine if his next posts didn't contradicted his request) and the admins advocating his rude behaviour (seeing Madskillz and Spencer latest posts about the matter) things went downhill

There is OTBP and ticalcs.net too, as well as Detacheds Solutions, but they seems pretty much inactive now.

danger, Omnimaga is injecting us with TI dev history. kidding

Oh don't forget to mention that TI-BD (http://tibasicdev.wikidot.com/home) is a very good resource to start BASIC development and optimizing. Don't forget to see some xlib and/or CelticIII documentation.

Welcome and have fun learning and coding!
