Hello Everyone!
« on: February 08, 2011, 12:51:44 am »
My name is Admiral-Bell. I'm a high school student who just last discovered that his calculator could do more than just math, it could generate and run programs!  :w00t:
I've been using this knowledge for my general edification, entertainment, and education. However, I am most certainly a noob, and seeing the amazing programming one can do with Axe and assembly I realize how much i have to learn. I hope to learn some here.

Oh, you'll learn... believe me... you will learn...
:P
Well, I hope you have fun and you are correct, Axe and assembly will let you do some amazing things, but before you tackle those, you will want a pretty solid knowledge of programming. In any case, as long as you want to learn you will ^-^
I hope you have fun!

Calcs can do something else than games? O.O

J/k Welcome on the forums and I hope you enjoy your stay. :)

Feel free to search the calc help section and the Axe Parser sub-forum for help and ask questions if you need more help. :)

Here are your peanuts. Be careful and do not lose them.
!peanuts

List of stuff I need to do before September:
1. Finish the Emulator of the Casio Prizm (in active development)
2. Finish the the SH3 asm IDE/assembler/linker program (in active development)
3. Create a partial Java virtual machine  for the Prizm (not started)
4. Create Axe for the Prizm with an Axe legacy mode (in planning phase)
5. Develop a large set of C and asm libraries for the Prizm (some progress)
6. Create an emulator of the 83+ for the Prizm (not started)
7. Create a well polished game that showcases the ability of the Casio Prizm (not started)

But... But... TI said that they couldn't...

Hey, what's up? To quickly explain, peanuts are just something we do.  Risks in joining this site involve losing the game, getting rickrolled, and blue lobsters with pink usernames.  Also, some people have special peanuts like me ;-) Have some.

Note that noob != newbie, though. Newb/newbie is someone new and inexperienced to something. N00b/Noob/Nub is a pejorative form of it designing the ones who have been around for longer but does no effort to learn (trying to get everyone to do the entire work for them) and sometimes even try to act like if they know better than the actual experimented members of a forum. In other words, anyone who joins and are new to calculator programming would be newbies. :D

Welcome to Omnimaga!  Feel free to ask loads of questions!
My website: Currently boring.

Projects:
Axe Interpreter
   > Core: Done
   > Memory: Need write code to add constants.
   > Graphics: Rewritten.  Needs to integrate sprites with constants.
   > IO: GetKey done.  Need to add mostly homescreen IO stuff.
Croquette:
   > Stomping bugs
   > Internet version: On hold until I can make my website less boring/broken.
