It's a very lively city, good place for living, Though sometimes we get haze days, The environment here is still much better than other cities I have ever been to in China. People here are well-mannered (than most parts of china?)Because It's one of the first cities experienced the "Chinese economy reform", You can find many hi-tech companies here (There are also many in Shanghai)
But again, USA and Canada also have neightboorhoods that have mainly bad-mannered people or high crime. For example, most of the city of Detroit is crime-ridden and some police officers said to enter the city at your own risk.I heard that in China roads are dangerous, though (with higher risks of car accidents). Is that true?
Over here, some people drive in the streets with bikes the same way cars does and if there isn't much traffic it slows down cars behind. >.< In most places, though, people use their bike on the sidewalk or side of the screen, although the former is dangerous for pedestrians (and illegal in some cities), while the latter is dangerous for yourself due to some idiot car drivers driving way too close to the sidewalk.
Indeed, but IIRC in China the laws are more lax regarding driving, right? In Quebec people drive like idiots even if there are stricter laws and stuff. But again, it might have to do with poor law enforcment, though, since there are not enough cops to keep up. And in certain cases cops don't have their priorities set up straight (for example, if you leave your kids suffocating in an hot car you get a $60 fine, but if you get caught walking on the grass in a park you get a $100 fine)
