Hi folks, and prepare yourselves. . .
« on: December 14, 2010, 12:51:50 pm »
My name is Callaway Sprinkle and I have been programming for about 3 years. I started by making simple math programs, and, as I got more advanced began to program games. My first project was a simple SubHunt with two randomly moving enemies. I put it on TICalc.org (under Callaway Sprinkle) but got no stunning reviews. I then tried multiple other versions, but my tendency to use Goto too much led to failure. In the last year, however, I have become vastly more attentive to making my programs with the best structure possible. Now I can do advanced stuff with confidence.

I learned Axe several months ago and my greatest complete projects are CalcLock 2.0, a password protection system, and Window Maze, a revolutionary new style of maze game, but I am working on-and-off on a real-time strategy game called Final Invasion for the 84+ series.

Window Maze 1.1 is attached.

Welcome to Omnimaga!  We're glad to have you!

Seeing as you're doing an RTS, here's a special bag of limited edition S.A.D. peanuts.  Even if you're allergic, you can sell them for a lot of money

Yeah, it's something we as omnimagians do. I've never thought about giving peanuts to someone who was allergic. Quick, some hypoallergenic peanuts, stat!

Welcome to Omnimaga and dreadfully sorry about your peanut allergy :P

I tried your maze game and i really like the concept!  I did find it a bit difficult though :P I didn't even get close to finishing it.  Maybe you could make the maze corridors slightly larger (like 2 or 3 pixels) unless that is the difficulty you were going for?  Adding the window makes everything quite difficult already :P  Also you might want to look into the getKey(#) command, as i think it could significantly spead up the movement of your character.  Criticisms aside, great game :D and welcome!

Bad Deep Thought, bad! Spit those out right now!  Actually, I don't know why we couldn't have chosen something, oh I don't know, like hamsters to give instead of peanuts.

Shhh.... Know one should know....

Actually, the idea was that you wouldn't eat them and you wouldn't have the allergic issue. Unless you are a poor soul that's allergic to hamsters.
