I think he's the one who gives peanuts to everybody......... xD
no, just most new members.  I try not to skip anyone.  It's also a good promotional tool.  Besides, I would be sad if any new member had to go without peanuts.

I live in France (North of France, 59 is the zip code)
WOW, zip codes are SHORT in France! In USA they're 5 digits long and in Canada they're a mix of 6 digits and letters. O_O

Anyway welcome here and I hope you can get a new calc soon. I also hope that you stay around if you decide to get a Casio. D:

As for peanuts here they are:

Portugal ZIP Code example:

City - 1234-123

The '123' was introduced 10 years ago, because before they were fine with the '1234' and the city.

It's just a logo for this site. I think there's a thread about it, actually.

Oh ok I see. Is that why there are often those two digits numbers at the end of french people locations on french boards?

Did you just post your ZIP Code?

I don' think you should do so, but I may be getting the message wrongly. If not, editing it would be safer

There's a thread somewhere where people actually give their exact location.

It depends of people. Personally I won't give my exact location on forums but I don't mind giving my city, area and country. I suggest trying to avoid this if you are on a forum where every single member are from the same country and especially on IRC. On IRC there's a server somewhere where if you join a channel with a province/state name you get about 10 dating offers in 3 seconds.

Good thing calculator channels are invisible from random IRC chan lists. When you join an IRC channel directly you pretty much give your approximate location (internet service provider location) to everyone connected :P

You can make a channel private, invite only, etc.

/mode #omnimaga +sp

THis hides the channel from /list

/list shows all public channels available on an IRC network you're connected to. If #omnimaga showed up there we would always get random bots and trolls.
