Hi Omnimaga! jhgenius01
« on: September 03, 2010, 02:50:45 am »
Hi, i am honored for you joining my website at jhgenius01.webs.com, and the number of your posts on omnimaga is phenominal!!! over 13000!!! anyway about me...

I first arrived on the calculator scene in 2008 when i received my cousin's CASIO CFX-9850GB+. I soon wanted some games but there was no link cable. In the end i found many games on UCF and CasioKingdom and managed to type them in (opened the .cat file in word and then printed it out for me to type) I even typed out the whole Star Wars game (at least 18000 bytes) by Sean Tan but i changed it to save memory! I also took a basic game, Indy2000 and changed into a cool featured pack game with highscores and stuff. Anyway, this year my new school required a TI-nspire and so i moved into the TI-nspire programming scene. I soon realised that the programming capability of the nspire was much lacking than the 9850, I couldn't make games such as pacman. Oh well, I finally made a game on 15 August 2010, Jason's TI-nspire's Hold 'em available for download on ticalc.org. Upcoming games include Battle of 16s and Cosmic Legions, both strategy games.

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

Nice to see someone with not just TI expertise around here. We haven't got Casio coders in years o.o. I personally got Casios but I didn't program on the much :(. Also I saw your game on ticalc.org, it seemed quite nice. Unfortunately I am not into Poker so I will probably not play but some people might like it. I am curious about the two strategy games. Will you announce them when you have updates and screenshots? Some people might be interested, even if the Nspire basic programming capabilities are kinda limited.

As for my post count, well, it's nothing if I include the one from the old Omnimaga databases as well as the Randomness/spam sections. Without randomness, I would probably have close to 25000 now if I included the old board count and with those sections included, I would probably have around 28000 :P

Anyway I hope you enjoy your stay :)

hopefully i will, battle of 16s is turning out to be an ambitious game. in fact i might need some help for creating a better battle system so i should try and post screenshots asap!

Welcome welcome!
The Nspire is also programmable in C, if you want to try to make a graphical game.

Yeah I tend to post a lot XD. Before Omni had a forum on Invisionfree, I posted like 2000 times on MaxCoderz forums in 4 or 5 months. That was back when I also posted on several sites at once, too. My post count is nothing compared to KermMartian's on Cemetech, though :P (he got close to 32000 :P)

It would appear so...its a sad, sad day when we start counterfeiting peanuts. I mean counterfeiting money isn't even that bad :P

I don't know.  I called You Lost The Game, Inc. and they only had the limited edition ones, probably due to their popularity. :P

It's because we have a contract with them. It's the same company that licenses the rickastley special, and paints the lobsters blue and pink.  They're really cheep too. I would suggest to stop using the limeted edition, though, as they are starting to become >9000 in number.

Well, anyway, welcome.

whoah ill try it now, i didn't see the post. yesterday i made a great discovery and i should begin to make graphical games or add them to current games soon!!!
yes i know you can program in C, using ndless, but
1. i don't know how to program in C
2. i tried ndless but of course there's the os1.1 bug.

3. battery drainage is high, when I switched to ndless/os1.1 it was 75%, about a week later when I switched back it was 25%

the peanuts don't do anything! am i meant to click on them?

Nice, what is your discovery? Is it a TI-BASIC trick allowing you to make graphical games?

As for the peanuts they are not meant to be hyperlinked. Someone started that a few months ago :P
