Introduction
« on: October 29, 2007, 03:30:00 pm »
I have never formally introduced here, so I thought I would take the time to do it here . I am rather new to these boards but I have been with the TI- Community for some time. I started programming in TI-BASIC in 98 or 99 when I got my first calculator; a TI 83 for highschool. This was back in the days where Bill Nagels ASM programs were fresh as were those of Jimmy Mardell, Void productions, Sicode, and many others. These games inspired me and I made several games and minor programs of my own. My most advanced one before I left the community for a while was a fully graphical(graph screen) Black Jack game with suits that simulated an actual deck and saved wins, losses and money. I left for a while in 2001 and watched the community progress sporadically. Eventually a year or so ago I managed to stumble onto Revsoft, and Spencer's massive Zelda project. This sparked my intrest again and I began to keep up with the community more again. I was eventually led here from finding some of DJOmnimagas RPG's in the Ticalc archives and also links from Revsoft and Maxcoders; and well here I am! This site is the most active I have found, and it has a very friendly and open envirnment and I am glad to be a part of the team here. I own a TI-83+, a TI 83+ SE, a TI-86, and a TI-89  I currently know html, TI-BASIC, and I am TRYING(Sigh <_<dry.gif ) to learn ASM.

I'll take your 86 if you don't want it. j/k
Well congrats and enjoy your new position here @ omnimaga. I hope you can learn asm soon enough and make some great projects with it. I just can't wait to do see what you come up with in the future.

Good luck learning ASM, I need some motivation. . . And good luck to your projects as well!

Now I know of another 68Ker I can ask for help!

As always, just ask for help if you need any when learning ASM.

Did you ever consider TIGCC for 68k?

Yes, but upon looking them up I have found that many of them are in the wrong area of the archive and most of them have files missing or added, so it wouldnt be of much use to give you links. I still have them on a Cd somwhere.... so mabey some day when i want to embarass myself ill upload some of them lol :Ptongue.gif .

Welcome!

C with TIGCC really is awesome...it's so much more powerful and faster than TI-BASIC, and yet it still easier than assembly.  You can even combine C and assembly in your TIGCC projects if you want.  If you're interested in programming for the 68K platform, I highly recommend it.  See http://tigcc.ticalc.org .
