Ok first off: whats with all the viaolent smileys?
secondly: HI!!! I'm MechaTech84 (Mecha for short) I have always loved rpg's and I taught myself how to program in TI-basic. (well, I taught my self the basics, school gets kinda boring sometimes...) I can do the rubik's cube, if you have any questions about that, see my siggy.
Just thought I'd introduce myself --Mecha

Thanks, I am a member on calcgames, but I wanted to join this site, because its got some great games out, and I wanted to help someday.... so I figured I'd start now!
Edit: I didn't want to double post: I have already learned a lot more basic from some tutorial somewhere else, I just wanted to say I taught some of it to myself.... I should show my work.... I'll post an attachment later....

the attached files are video versions of my Bob video series for a TI-83 or compatible. For best results, after you unzip them, open them in a internet browser. Bob8 has more at the begining, but idk what happened to it, so just wait, it will load eventually....

Oh yeah! smileys are awesome! I especially like the Chaingun and the Rocket Launcher... you guys have to make a surface to air missile and a Ground to Ground missile and other such weapons of insane proportions. and this one: :samurai:
should loop.... just a suggestion but it would look a lot cooler.
So, how did you guys like the vids? It took a while, and it was about a year and a half ago that I finished Bob8.... so there are a few GOTO's unfortunantly... but whatever, there is only like 1 or two.... That's because I didn't know how else to do the scene selection back then...
By the way, just to clear up any issues later on, I am a boy, just cause it's hard to tell over the web...
@TheStorm: Thanks! I am currently trying to find people to help me on a project: a program that can teach someone how to solve the rubik's cube (If you look on calcgames you'll see a different project, but I decided to change it.... This seems more useful. As the saying goes "Catch a fish for a man, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime." Same basic idea. Plus at my school, I started a fad.... At one time, if you walked down the hall, you would pass about 7 rubik's cubes on the way.... and that was just one hall! It was pretty sweet. It also kept me on top of my game: I wanted to be number one. I would challenge people to see if they could do it with two hands faster than I could do it with 1 hand... The sad part is, most of the time I won....
This link is a program I am working on that will help me learn the last layer orientation method of the Fridrich method (just google "Fridrich method OLL") It's not done yet, but I posted it anyway. BTW this is not the method that will be taught in the upcoming program.
