oh wow O.O almost the entire thing is spoiled

I find it weird that he would announce it on Revsoft and not Omnimaga when he's Omnimaga staff, though. Ok he did in the IRC channel but only about 10% of our visitors visits the channel. On top of that he didn't even revealed as much as what he revealed on Revsoft.

We need to show more activity because at the moment the forums looks as if there are only 3 staff members who are even coding for calculators at all and activity has dropped drastically in the past few weeks.

Or is Omnimaga doomed to never ever have any project of the like simply because the only revolutionary ASM programmers we welcome here are those who don't consider every internet users as AI bots?
People kept bugging him about what he was doing instead of working on F-Zero, so he posted a screenie of Zelda.  Then people kept bugging him about what it could do, how it was done, and for more screenies.

We've got calc84maniac as the resident Asm programmer here, and he's doing pretty well.

I have finals next week, so there won't be any progress on Chip's Challenge until I'm finished with them.

Oh ok I see. I was getting a bit worried because it seemed that he was announcing fewer and fewer projects on our forums even thought he announced all of them on Revsoft so I have been quite afraid that he was no longer interested really in being Omnimaga staff (which could be because few people here does ASM) and was going to join another team or stick to another site as sole project showcase instead.

Members and staff going close to leave Omnimaga for sites such as MaxCoderz and Revsoft as soon as they started learning ASM was something quite common back in the old forums days too. This is also a bit why I said it seems we're doomed to never have any major ASM project showcased by staff over here (I mean stuff that no one thought it could ever be possible on a calculator, such as this emulator)

Don't take this the wrong way, but considering that most of Omnimaga's projects are in BASIC, there aren't very many people highly knowledgeable about Asm.  At places like Revsoft and MaxCoderz, a lot of people there can be a lot more helpful (such as programming help, rigorous testing, etc...) than here.  Once we (at Omnimaga) start to get more and more great Asm programmers, there will probably be an increase in people who come here with/for Asm.

yeah I see what you mean. But I mean if the few ASM programmers that comes here leave because we don't have enough ASM programmers, then it's not how we're gonna build an ASM userbase. I don't want Omnimaga to become ASM mostly because its roots were BASIC and there are a whole lot of amazing projects in BASIC over here (and ASM) alerady. I'm just saying the few people who do ASM over here (like Iambian, Calc84maniac, you and bfr should not leave Omnimaga because of that. At least if we keep these few ASM programmers Omnimaga would keep its particularity to only have ASM programmers who aren't haters, elitist or people who don't give a shit about others like every other ASM programmer in the community. So far, in the 8 years I've been in the TI community, lurking and posting on websites and forums, the only ASM programmer that rarely or never posts on Omnimaga that doesn't act these three ways is tr1p1ea

In summary, I'm not saying I would like other ASM programmers to join Omnimaga, I'm just saying that the few that are alerady here should not abandon us (unless they really lose interest completly in calc programming or move on to other life stuff)

Well, I wouldn't say that all my projects are posted on Revsoft. :P I doubt Project M is on there at all.

Lol ok but I had big worries because most updates on projects you are author of were posted there and on Omnimaga the last update on any project was like one month ago I think x.x

(not to mention that if it's only announced on Revsoft and #omnimaga some people may even miss it completly when it's released, as less people check ticalc.org and calcg.org anymore. Heck, I think there are much less downloads too, because I never seen Super Mario 1.2 gets such low weekly downloads numbers before. It always sat at 2000 or higher before)

Well, I just happened to leak it there first, and I didn't feel like keeping up with more than one forum once I had posted it... besides, I'll post on more forums once it's a bit more matured.

If you're going to IRC, seriously. Don't mind the Nethams. They tend to be rather lobster-y of the blue kind :P
