Great. Memes. (I hate memes, just so you know)
No, I don't program for other calcs. Frankly, I'm not programming for any calc as of speaking. I'm about halfway through a tutorial on C++, which means I've about learned 1/3rd, since the first half is very basic and stuff.

Oh, and I'm going to change this huge ugly avatar into a better, background-less, smaller version today. You won't have to look at it for such a long time :P
Well imho it's better to have some sense of humor (no offense), otherwise it would be rather boring, especially in the world we are living it. You're gonna have to get used to weird stuff around here or other active forums because it's inevitable some may happen. And I see about calcs. Is the C++ tut for calcs? I always forget which language between C and C++ the 9860G and Classpad calcs can do. I hope you stick around for a while.

By the way I cannot see your avatar, you may need to choose a web hosting that supports hotlinking like img. removedfromgame. com

C++ is a language usable for the fx-9860GII, as is C. The SDK doesn't support bug-checking on C++, however. I also just read about BasiC++ on the forums. I'm going to check it out, I'm sure it will help me create a game earlier. And the tutorial is not for calculators, but the only difference would be in the input, since it doesn't have the same key set as a computer.
No, that was a failed change, the pic I tried to upload was really bad, I've changed it now. And I do have a sense of humour! I am on the mspaforums for crying out loud! No point in going THERE of all places if you don't have a sense of humour!
While thinking about it, I should put a link to the forums in my sig. I'll do it straight away!

Edit: Ok I just got further in the C++ tutorial and read some stuff about it on the internet; I'm giving up. I need to find some easier language, C++ is way harder than GML by far. This is just not going to work for me. What other programming languages can be used to program for an fx-9860GII? Preferably easier ones than C++, which is, as I just found out, one of the hardest programming languages out there...

Actually, from what I've heard, C++ is one of the easier ones, especially since it's a pretty high level language. Learning a language is not just some simple task. It takes time and work.

And no need to get so defensive about the sense of humor thing. He was just saying because there are a lot of memes that go around here at Omni and you just might be seeing a lot of them.
Spoiler For Spoiler:

Yeah I was just saying that about the sense of humor because if you dislike memes you are probably not gonna enjoy Omnimaga too much, since they happen often around here. No need to get so defensive indeed. I considered rating down your post because I feel it was unjustified. I was just warning that memes might occurs quite a bit around here.

And sorry to hear about C++. I personally tried 68K C and pretty much gave up, but maybe some people around here might be able to help if you ask questions on what confuses you. A lot of people around here did C before. For the 9860G series, there's also TI-BASIC, but parts of the language are very slow. Locate function (to display text) is lightning-fast compared to the 83+, but other functions seemed kinda slower. You can use it if you are making games that doesn't require much speed, though. I programmed in TI-83+ BASIC for almost 9 years.

I remember there was also MLC, but I don't know if the 9860 version ever got finished :( (I think the last download link was down)

It wasn't intended to be defensive, it was intended to be an inside-joke, for people who know the weird MSPAforums. But I don't think I'm going to be able to learn C++. It took people who are years older than me (on a university) months to learn C++ with a teacher. I mean, come on! How am I going to be able to do that before I go to university myself! But I'm not demotivated in any way; these forums are great and I don't need to be a programmer to be here. I'm just going to stick around, maybe try to learn some BASIC or similar languages.

By the way, is it possible to program with BASIC on my computer, and then transfer it to my fx-9860GII?

Ah I see, I never went there (I only saw the name mentionned somewhere) so I don't know about that joke.

As for BASIC I do not know, unfortunately, as I never program calc stuff on the computer (I had no comp in the first place when I started on TI so I kinda got used to on-calc environments (except the TI-89T and TI-Nspire). Maybe Casiocalc.org may have some downloads?

Love the user pic, sjasogun1. Welcome to Omnimaga. Here, have some special peanuts. They're new to the market. In fact, you are the first one to get some of them! Congratulations!

Lol awesome graph, although it would be good if you made it more transparent, so it looks like it was printed in the bag rather than a sticker put on it :)
