It's high time I made a post on one of my favorite subjects, Chemistry.
As most people know, Chemistry is one of the three main branches of Science and explains much of the macroscopic world. Fewer people know that it's actually one of the easiest fields to get into and one of the most complex once you get too far in to back out. Even simple things like Benzene or Carbon nanotubes have incredibly complex behavior under many conditions.
Here's a nice electronic density plot of beneze, which clearly reveals the delocalized Pi bonding underlying much of its unusual behavior:
What are your favorite parts of chemistry?

I've never taken chemistry, but it seems really cool and fun! I did a lot of studying in my personal time when I was younger, though, so I sometimes understand what people are talking about

I'm taking Chemistry this year, but so far all we've done is stuff with gas pressure. It kinda gets boring after the first week, I can't wait to move on to the next unit.

I hate Chemistry. I've got it for 2,5 years and it's not really my favorite subject in school.
It's just too abstract for me...

I took chemistry last year and will take again this year. However, it's my last year of chemistry. I never used Chemistry to explain much about macroscopic world, we'd always stick to microscopic and not use the concepts achieved in the macroscopic world.
I'm looking forward to do it myself this year, though
Regarding what I learnt, I prefer Physics over Chemistry, but Chemistry was interesting. I liked the temperature and agitation of particles part.

I think my favorite part of chemistry is doing it at my house
But, I'm in my third year of chemistry (Regular, AP Chemistry, now Organic Chemistry) and I'm hoping to go into chemical engineering when I go to college. You could say that I basically am chemistry.

You can build a statue out of either 1'x1' blocks or 12'x12' blocks. The 1'x1' blocks will take a lot longer, but the final product is worth it.

Aargh! Chemistry! I'm quite interested in it but the concepts are really starting to stack up in Year 11. It's maths (which I also like) with all the formulas, but the stuff sometimes just doesn't get into my head. Especially all the scientific words. And Option A, for those who know about the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma is a nightmare, calculating the formation of an organic compound using only a graph with some peaks in it (a NMR spec graph or something [i can't even remember the name!]) just goes to show that I just passed Chem last term on the bare minimum. Science was so much easier and fun back in year 8 and 9.
The main reason I was interested in Chemistry was because of the Periodic Table. I used to know the names of elements in order up to 50 which is Tin, Sn, but now i've forgotten because my brain has had to move that aside to fit in the 75% of stuff in chem that isn't about the periodic table
