Hi! I am working on a random problem that my teacher gave me, but I am slightly confused with one part of the question:
A function
f is defined on the interval [-3,3] as shown below:
On the given axes, sketch the graph of
f((1/2)x)
Now, I do the horizontal translation, and doing this, I am able to sketch the graph of
f((1/2)x), but only on the range from [-1.5,1.5], as shown here:
How do I go about finding the value of
f((1/2)x) from [-3,-1.5) and (1.5,3]? Any help would be much appreciated!
