Something I wonder about Minecraft on desktop computers: What are the minimum specs requirements for a computer and/or server in order to get at least 30 FPS when 1 million TNT's are blowing up?
Quote from: DJ Omnimaga
Btw is it hard to build trees (that looks good) in Minecraft?
No: plant sapling, use a bone meal on it, done.

Thanks, I was wondering since if someone or myself were to build Illusiat/Reuben maps into Minecraft, for example, there are a lot of forest areas in there. :P

In the minecraft raspberry pi edition I made a house out of tnt........ >:D
Which is why playing on a server with blast protection and stuff like that would be the best option :P
or using the raspberry pi version as there is no way yet to blow the tnt up ^^
not even by luring a creeper close to the house and pissing it off?
there's only creative mode so far, no creepers
* turiqwalrus grumbles about stuff 'ruining all the fun' :I
therefor the pi version is for free :P

THE GAME

Seriously, guys, don't let it get out of hand. Besides, we're starting to get a bit off-topic here.

Thanks, I was wondering since if someone or myself were to build Illusiat/Reuben maps into Minecraft, for example, there are a lot of forest areas in there. :P
I could give it a try, I guess. The main problem with building something along those lines is that you want the tree walls to be relatively dense,so that you can't get through :P

It should be possible, though.

For that, you can place the trees close to eachother and add some additional leaves when nessicary. It's not that hard
My projects

True, but making it still look somewhat like a forest makes it a bit tougher.

That's rather nice looking Hayleia.
I used to build a nice little wooden house in all my worlds but after watching a certain let's play I switched to 9*9 rooms (more space efficient, and with a lot of mods your house expands quickly). :P Though I could try to adapt the design...

Well my rooms are 3x3 so they are kind of efficient space wise.
In fact I am pretty new to MineCraft so I don't really know what I need in a house. I just put a bed and a chest (the furnace and all are outside the house). This is also why I put so many torches on the ground, I don't know how many I should put to have no mobs spawn there.

A lot of light is usually efficient. You can try to make it look like street lights with glowstone and fences. :D

Also 9*9 is actually 7*7 inside, and you can put quite a lot of blocks along the walls in very little space. ;) That's pretty nifty on the PC version with mods where you have a lot of machines. I have these four blocks high inside so I have room to build crazy contraptions and a torch per wall is enough to light it up. :D
My industrial center is generally my main house and expands pretty quickly.

I love it, Hayleia. It looks like you took the time to prettify your house :3

Thanks, I'm using Jolicraft with the MCPatcher for HD/better textures.
