I think it needs at least 1GB to minimally run, anything below isn't a really good idea... At least 2GB shouldn't be a problem, I think. Also it's a good idea to have a swap partition (pagefile.sys under Windows) in case Minecraft takes up your entire RAM and locks up your computer. Most of the time, when you die, all your stuff are dropped around so if you return to the place where you died you're usually able to retrieve all your stuff. Getting there is sometimes long, so warps or getting transported by the admin helps. A map can help too, here's mine: Map of my world (note: the player markers doesn't actually work...)Also, screenshot. Took easily 1 hour to build this in obsidian, that thing takes 15 seconds to remove if I make a mistake.(Oh lol, ninja'd...)

Mine can handle easily 5-6 people, haven't tested for more...Also, screenshot. Also that Omni logo is epic
One thing I wonder is how you guys build huge floating platforms? Because to me it seems like you have to make towers of like 30-40 blocks one by one then build on top of them, the remove the stuff below, but I can't seem to understand how you do it in large scale. Also how do you get torches, woodplates, money and that stuff?
You can place blocks besides? I tried and nothing would happen...
Wow rcfreak and juju epic stuff I need to buy a copy so I can play online with you guys sometime
