'The Letter D' Album
« on: November 26, 2010, 07:13:05 pm »
Hey guys, for fun, I'm gonna make an album of songs, my first album ;'(

Well, it will be made of 10songs all started with letter D.

This is a preview of my comical/annoying/stupid/enjoyable songs, this is, my first song, made using GuitarPro5.

Good luck not dying while hearing it!

Hmm for some reasons, if this had more of a 8 bit or xylophone sound, it could actually fit in a RPG that is a bit humoristic. Stuff like Earthbound maybe. Are you gonna post more songs soon? Also is Guitar Pro mostly a MIDI editor or if it lets you create songs like GarageBand, Magix Music Maker, Sony ACID, Lmms, FL Studio, Music 2000 and Ableton Live?

GuitarPro6 is more commercial, so it tends to be better at making modern real music.

Also, I'm using GUitarPro's RSE (Real Sound Engine), guitar pro for me used to be a classic music composer, it's for people who know tabs guitar and normal ones and know music, it's not that easy to make music.

I'm making .midis because it's the easier think to export to, also for people to put in calculator is easier.

New Song? Oooh!

It's called 'Dabest', feedback on songs please, are they comical enough? Maybe longer, hein?

Change of route announce:

This was supposed to be a comical/stupid album. However, I'm making a mix of techno and classical music for now, and working in serious songs... Here is the first minute of the song Daywan :)

Cool I'll listen to the 3rd one later. I listened to the previous one and I liked the beginning. I am not too sure if I can help much on making the songs sound comical, though, as I have never really made such song before.

The beginning of Daywan is magical, I really like it, but then I think i ruined the song, since I only like the intro :P

I kinda like it as well, although I notice a drastic change indeed after the intro. For some reasons I like the second part better, though. Both parts would probably fit well in a dark RPG dungeon (probably more a cavern). Now if only MIDI players supported reverb like on the SNES, that would be awesome.

Thanks much DJ! I like to get feedback from a... uh... DJ?

The mixture between the saxophone (or whatever it is, I'll tell you later) and the synthethizer is the best thing to me

Lol, sadly I don't really create music mixes much anymore, though. This mix from late 2008 was my last one. I wish I had some money to create real mixing and remixes with the appropriate hardware :P (turntables)

Anyway good luck with music making. Do you plan to make any faster songs, like http://www.rpgamer.com/games/ys/ys1_2/sounds/midi/darkfact.mid ?

I like that midi very much, I have to try changing the speed of my songs, making a faster classical/techno song!

Cool! :D

On a side note I wonder if it's possible to make real dance music in MIDI format with strong kickdrum and stuff? Most MIDI renditions of dance music had weak kickdrums.

Oh I meant with the default windows MIDI sounds. Else such MIDI file would sound different on other computers.

Drums and percussion are indeed available and very easy to use!

Well I really mean drums like  in my song 1000 BPM to rule them all. Well... maybe not that extreme, though ;D
