Agent84's Christmas Song
« on: December 22, 2009, 11:11:52 am »
In time for the holiday season, I made a short holiday-themed song.  Enjoy :)

thanks for the feedback :)

About the PC hook-up; my keyboard didn't come with a USB cable, so I don't know how to hook it up right now (i could always just order the cable online, but i'm too lazy :p).
I'll see how much it costs, and I might look into it, but with the holiday spending and stuff, I just don't have much money right now.

What I usually do is take a simple 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable with both ends like headphones cable end, connects it to the sound source's headphones jack and the other end to my computer microphone jack (audio in/line in also does the job), then I use a software like Audacity to record. With some devices, it might have poorer sound quality, though.

You can, but you have to have the software and a sound card that supports it. =D

not necessarly. As written above, anything that can output audio through a headphone port can be connected to a computer where you record the music. You can even record the music on some tape recorders this way.

Yea, I know. Some stuff works fine that way, but some stuff has a noticeable drop in quality, and some thing get additional strange noise or distortion added in >_>. I've played around with this a bit myself when trying to record from different sources.

It also depends on what input Jack you use. Never use the mic Jack, horrible quality :(

Genius! I've been looking for something to do this, and it looks like this will work. Plus, the cable you mentioned it the same cable you use to connect two calcs.

Actually no, the calc cable is too small. You need one with two ends like on a pair of earbuds.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. The calc cable is 2.5 mm. :(
I forgot to think before posting...
