Ok, for those who don't know, I have been producing since early 2002. However, back then, my parents were very poor and had no money to buy myself a computer. So, I had to rely on MTV music generator for the playstation 1. I did lot of tunes with it before it broke in 2004. However, as it couldnt import huge sound samples I had to be kinda...hmmm....original to make remixes hehe. So here's how I produced this remix of an old 80s french pop song by Marie-Denise Pelletier from here:

As you can hear, the sound quality is horrible! No, it's really 128 kbps here 44.1 khz. But, with no computer and not a lot of ressources back then it was very hard for me to record songs. I had to use a tape recorder, put it near the tv while the song is playing and do so with every songs.

However, here's the worst part: how I did the remix above? Let me explain. First, MTV music generator for playstation only import from CDs, not external audio sources like tape radios and all, plus it would have not accepted anything above 4 seconds anyway. So, I've started playing my hardcore  loops on the TV, THEN when it was the right time, pressed play on the radio to play Marie-Denise Pelletier song which was on tape. To record, I had to put the radio next to the tv, and I had a microphone plugged in the tape recorder to record both easily. As it was impossible to sync the hardcore loop properly (155 BPM was too slow and 156 was too fast) I sometimes had to push the PLAY button very strong to slow down the tape playing a bit, so that way I could sync both songs together. It took me about 4 attempts before it get successful!

So this is how the song above got recorded. You must be saying why didn't i waited until i get a computer to produce? Nope, I guess i loved producing too much to wait and I took every means I could to do a remix of a song.
