Epic7's Music Stuff
« on: November 30, 2012, 11:46:16 pm »
Yay! I've finally made a music topic! :P
So, here I'll post any of my performances, arrangements, and compositions.
I'm going to start recording the piano pieces I learn, and I'm gonna start to try to compose some stuff of my own. :D
I do have one video already that I just finished tonight:

Gerudo Valley (originally from Ocarina of Time)

Do I spy musescore? I believe I do.

I was wondering: I find the interface somewhat awkward to use. Do you have any recommendations?

Did you actually record a midi file by playing it on a midi keyboard or is this a drag and drop environment?
If you like my work: why not give me an internet?

Well, it CAN use a midi keyboard, but it's actually a note entering environment (Not sure what you mean by drag and drop)

Common input methods are mouse based and pc keyboard based.

It's not a tracker. Not that I have anything against trackers, but this is most definitely not the same concept as, say, MTV Music Generator.

Cubase is a tracker. Trackers are great for making music fluidly, but not so wonderful for making instrumental pieces for people to play.

Musescore is the best music creating program I found so far. It works easier than a tracker (which I find a PITA to use :-\)

Yeah, I like to use musescore.
I've adapted to the interface pretty well
There's a synth with midi a few feet from my computer, but I like the mouse-based entry
I also have Cubase... But I've never used it and I lost the disk :P
