OBAMA MAN!!!
Force Of Nature
«

I was home sick today and decided to start working on some musical composition. Thus far I have maybe one completed track. When completed The work as a whole will be entitled "Force Of Nature."
Thus Far I have:
01 I.
The Tempest
02 II.
God Of War
03. III
Overdrive
These are intended as movements of a larger piece (Hence the roman numerals). My objective was to create something in the vein of Prog. I'll post links upon finding a place to put.
EDIT: I've added links to the files as they are now. They are still incomplete, but I felt like posting them.

cool, I hope to hear it soon
For upload space i recommend Mediafire for music files. It's quite fast, altough like with other file hosts, always keep a backup copy on your pc or cd because they don't keep the files permanently

I've signed up for an account so, I think they will. But yeah, I've been using mediafire for quite a while now. Though it would seem that rapidshare isn't nauseatingly horrid anymore.

yeah i remember when they added the cat pictures CAPTCHA system. It was impossible to distinguish cats from other animals and even if you typed the letters that had a cat backgrounds as they said it would still say invalid code.

Yeah, lol. BTW I just changed music programs, so that's going to increase the delay for my posts a bit, but I think the upgrade is worth the time needed to learn the system.

Modplug tracker,it's actually free(I mean legitimately free:D)and far more capable than Babya Logic Pro (the software I was using before). Unfortunately the midi exported by Babya is very strangely formatted so it's very hard to edit in modplug. So I'm redoing some of it with pretty new samples.

Ooh yeah I heard modplug tracker was good. Very cool that it is free so it's easy to find and anyone who has no money can do music. Afterward the only softwares you can find under $30 are Ejay and MTV Music Generator series. There's Magix Music Maker (which is CPU intensive) for $50 if you get the cheap version but afterward you have to spend $100 and if you get more features between $200-800. There's lot of cool modplug, ejay and mtvmg songs online, which shows it doesn't matter if you use a cheap sequencer/tracker/music creator or a high end one used by pros. What matters is what you create. I'm sure if someone could sign MODplug or Ejay songs if he was good enough. It happened with MTVMG1 and Digital Hitz Factory as well as even the prequel to MTVMG1

I really can't see justifying the investment required for the commercial products when you have a freeware as high quality as Open MPT. And since it's constantly updated, it's always improving. and, if you feel so inclined you may make your own modifications to the source. Of course it's more difficult to use than those sort of "instant music makers" (as it were), but the added features are more than enough for me to make the switch.

Hmm I downloaded the files, and when I tried to listen to them, I couldn't hear anything.. and yes, my sound was turned on and volume was on LOUD. I'll try it again and see if it works.

Hmmm, that's strange... I just checked all the links and they work fine for me. I wonder what the problem could be...
I recommend the third one I think (though it's incomplete
). I think the second one is also lacking in depth (it needs more parts...). Oh well, I'm not sure if I'll actually do any more work on this. Depends on if people like the current version I suppose.

Hmm that's odd. I tried downloading them again and it still didn't work. I'll try it with a different media player and see if it works.
