well, here is a new song/loop I made in fl studios. I just figured out how to do automation tracks, which is how the one sound changes pitch and how it and another change volume. I also figured out how to use paterns properly, and mixxer chanels and effects on them in the course of naking this...but as far as I am concerned, this as done as I am going to make it...at least till I get some other songs more along.
-
wow nice so far, it have a new techno beat style ^^
I hope to see progress on this soon :)
-
It's got a unique twist, that's for sure. I, too, cannot wait for the song to progress.
-
http://rapidshare.com/files/49629412/NewLoop2.mp3.html now 4:20 mins in length and progressing a bit...
-
rapidshare sucks
http://www.savefile.com
EDIT: nice stuff so far, i dont know in which genre it would fit really, because the beat is very different but it reminds me toksyuryel music on dragon fire, pretty dark style :)
-
http://www.savefile.com/files/1029016 I need to record more voice effects, but my mic isn't the best. Anyways, I want to up the beat more in parts and have more abinece in others, but that will take a while.
-
om my god it reminds me toksyuryel (someone on IRC) music, but I prefer your rythm, good job so far. Is it complete yet? because it almost sound like it is, maybe just add some voice like you said :)

Btw I think this could make a pretty hard Stepmania simfile :D
-
new version of the song, few more vocals (yes, I made all of them)

wow awesome, for some reasons one of the laughing vocals doesn't seems to fit tho, the more acute one i mean, I would make it a bit more evil and less acute if possible. The other laugh effect is nice :D
as well as the other voices, which fit pretty well. As for the rest of the song it's getting better and better. This will surely be added to "our work" section for download when finished!
Btw this must be at least 960 BPM, right? o.o
-
Nice and creepy :P
-
I changed out the laugh, just curious if anyone finds the fact i do that little girl's voice disturbing? As far as the bpm, i realy don't know as I just made paterns and then arranged them (something that is one of FL studios best features, I can't figure out why no other programs i have seen do that)
-
i don't find it disturbing, in fact if it was you who could do it its pretty good if you can imitate someone else voice or do noises because then you could do many stuff with it like voices for a cartoon someone or you make for example
as for bpm i miscalculated, it should be 560, not 960, I figured out it would be around that because divided by 4 it does 140 which is almost matching my old songs speed and since there's 4 kickdrums every beats segments or whatever people would call it it would be 140x4 so 560 ^^
basically if someone made a stepmania simfile with this and it would be crazy to play :gah:
:paf:

some new stuff and stuff
-
The new versionf o Lightlessness is awesome! I have it looping in Itunes atm :D
. The laughing is much more evil now. good job on this song.
As for the curious moselium 1 one i would add more beat to it, maybe the same beat than the lightlessness song.
I think the two others would fit well in a game tho, maybe combat ball for the last one and for the newsong1 one another game like an RPG
I'm gonna put the lightlessness song in archives now
-
thanks for all the great feedback so far! *cough*
(not targeted at kevin)
-
i am disapointed at lack of feedback from other members and staff on most people projects... even Metroid II didnt got a lot of feedback...
-
...but I hope you don't give up and release the 3 other tracks finished tomorrow
j/k take your time I was just wondering if this was progressing or if you were busy with school or combat ball? %)

new song...just started today...er, yesterday technically...I realy ought to get to sleep... :(
-
Bah sleep, I usually sleep once per month
j/k but I really tend to go sleep late lately x.x
gonna download and listen ^^
EDIT: I like it so far, even better than Lightlessness. But you should add the lightlessness beat over it (the fast kick I mean) :)
-
I had to install Wine to play your mp3. o.o
:P
Anyway...it makes me think of being in a haunted house. Pretty good. :)
-
Ok, i just downloaded your songs and they sound pretty neat. I assume for the first one your title is supposed to be curious mausoleum? I like the dark style of that one and of lightlessness. Curious mausoleum was ok, but didnt seem to have alot to it. Lightlessness on the other hand was fairly complex and I liked it ALOT. I assume you changed the octaves of your voice up and down in the editor to get the desired "young girl" and "evil laugh" effects. New songs 1 and 2 also seem very promising. I could defintley see these being used in a rpg with a dark theme or a survial rpg. Good stuff ^_^.
*Edit* Just listened to Mad amusement. I didn't like this one very much. The sound that sounds kind of like an engine idling with an echo seemed very distracting to me and took away from the rest of the music that was going on.
-
yeah that was why i was thinking it could be better with the lightlessness beat, it would be a similar style
-
how it sounds depends on how good the speakers are. If they don't have deep base, it sounds pretty flat ( I will see if I can make a version with correction for that)
-
well for me there is lot of bass. I actually have headphones, i just think there should be a kick like your other song to add some beat to the song. Or maybe one version with no beat (like this one) and another one with beat for those who love techno
-
Well, that is only the first chunk of it, I plan to have a ending to it that is quite a bit heavier
-
nice, it will be awesome I'm sure
-
@ necro, my speaker actually do happen to suck, but I dont think speakers with a larger frequency response would make that much of a difference in this case . It's not that it sounds flat, just that it overtakes everything in the background.:)
If you've ever played the legend of zelda ocarina of time there is kinda of a similar effect used that is not too over stated. IIRC its used in the royal family tomb in kakiriko village. Something like that might work better. *Edit*As an after thought, mabey you could just adjust the volume level of the effect? That might do just as well.
-
i have a question for you, im trying to figure fruity loops out but i cant seem to get it, one thing that continually stumps me is envelopes. if you go into the new things sample they have these nice volume envelopes that show you visually what they are doing, i havent been able to figure out how to do that, could you enlighten me, assuming you already are?
-
I haven't figured out envelopes myself...I have gotten used to certain automations methods and samplers but they are something i plan to study after the solstice holiday.
anyways, here is my myspace music profile...http://profile.myspace.com/cypheric
added an early version of a new song to it
-
I assume you mean the Pulsar Early one? I think it could be used in some video games, prbly some kind of Sci-fi ish RPG but dark style. Nice in overall, but I think you should add some hi hats :)

I'll add your Mad Amusement song in the archives soon
-
I am working on another song right now too...hopefully I can get a few of these finished off soon. Oh, and I am still working on a longer and imo better version of lightlessness.
-
ooh nice, I hope you keep a similar beat :)
-
Not really my style of music, but you are very talented necro!
-
Well, I added another song to my myspace...tell me what you think
-
Ok I'll check!
I like it, you should make the synth and acid sounds more stereo though
when finished will you post a mp3 too? ^^
-
As I haven't added any filters with the exception of the sytrus sounds it is entirely mono actualy. I will work on that.
