{AP} Retires From Calc-Programming
«

Unfortunately, I recently lost my calculator.
No idea what happened to it. Most likely stolen.
In any case, I don't have the money to get it back and I don't plan on calculator coding on my PC.
So, regretfully, I must retire from calc-programming. I'll stick around the community, but you won't see anything new from me.
So, without a single respectable project released, thus ends my calculator programming career.
Unfortunately, this does mean Nyaar and Blockage are never to be officially finished.
Whether or not I stay admin is up to Omni.
P.S. I am kinda half working on computer programming and I'll make sure to release anything that I'm working on here first.

That sucks man. I've had calc's stolen before too.
Perhaps we could start a "Get {AP} a new calc fund"? Lol.
Are you going to remain posting, just not working on any calc projects?
At least your nick isn't pink too.

Yeah, I'm sticking around.
Actually, if I did acquire a new calculator, I'd have no problem 'coming out of retirement'... but since I don't see that happening soon...
I'm retired for now.
Though yes, I guess my wording was a bit vague. All I'm trying to say is that I can't do anything on the calculator anymore.

Mhmm are you sure "Retires" might be the appropriate title? Since you aren't really retiring from the community after all and might lead to confusion
I was thinking more something like Nyaar & Blockage postponed indefinitively. I could edit it for you, though.
ANyway sorry to hear that. I hate thieves, got a lot of stuff (clothes mostly, tho) stolen back in elementary school and got pissed all the time
I can't imagine how it would have been with my first calc...
I hope you can eventually get a new one.

I hate people who steal other peoples stuff. It sucks that you can't program anymore (and i know what you mean about coding on comps
). But at least you will be sticking around!

Word of advice to others who don't want this to happen: always keep your calc in your pockets if they're big enough. This is what I did when in hi school. However, in 2003, pants pockets were bigger than most of the ones we see today. If you can't do it, then I suggest that whenever you're not at your school desktop, you must always bring your calc with you, like when going to see the teacher. Also never lend it to anyone, cuz some idiots can reset the RAM. This almost happened to me once

well even if your name is written on it, any thief can simply sell it on ebay and no one will know it's stolen. So you still need to be careful
Maybe I should send {AP} my TI-83+ when I am done with Illusiat 2004 and figured out a way to transfer TI-83+ files from a TI-Nspire. I hardly ever use my 83+ anymore, anyway. However it's almost 8 years old so idk how long it would last (altough my SE was used much more and still lasted a big 6 years)

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your calculator
This will give you more time to work on that computer RPG you started a while ago though.
