Tonight the news pipeline is getting unclogged here at Omnimaga and the first one to get through is about the recent upsurge in PRIZM games coming out. This rush is particularly due to the recent Cemetech contest judging process that ended, allowing the participants to publish their program, but there are also still some great projects in the works now.
First of all, there was Raptor, Ashbad's shoot-em-up game in add-in format. Its style is similar to '70s arcade shooters, preserving old-skool graphics and interface, while still being fun and challenging at the same time. Enemies appears at the top of the screen and you must defeat them, avoiding their bullets, to advance to the next level.
Make sure to
check it out! Note that on-calc it looks much better than in the picture above.
Besides that, two coders in particular have showcased what could be done in PRIZM BASIC with two great releases. First of all there is The Impossible Game, by Nitrosax, a popular game on some devices as well as the TI-83 Plus series. Despite being in BASIC, it kinda preserves the speed and part of the challenge of the original, the only thing really missing being scrolling and longer lenght.

Gravity Ball, a Gravity Guy spin-off, and
Yeti Sports, a game featuring plenty of mini-games, some of which are pretty nice and have good graphics. Aside from the install process and certain of the games, the rest has good control and decent speed as well.
