Planète-Casio is starting
a new 48 hour Casio Programming Contest
, where you have to program a color game in French or English featuring 3D written in C/C++ for the Casio FX-cg10/20. You have until Sunday April 22nd at 4h59 PM GMT-5 (10:59 PM France time) to submit your program
here
. Basically, you must write a Casio PRIZM C/C++ 3D game add-in in under two days!
Each sub-program can be a maximum of 550 KB per file and in total they must not exceed 750 KB. You must provide the compiled program in g3a format as well as the source code when submitting it! Programs will be tested on OS 1.04 on european PRIZM models. Purobaz and Thomatos are the testers. The contest is open to everyone. Only a Planète-Casio account (to submit your game) is required. Also you cannot win prizes for more than one CPC per year, but you can still participate regardless. The prize is a Graph 75 (FX-9860GII). The prize can be shipped in European Union, United States and Canada.
Scoring criterias:
- Code/programming quality, bugs : 3 pts
- Originality : 3 pts
- Graphics and layout : 2 pts
- Gameplay and ergonomy : 2 pts
Good luck!

I don't know exactly what they mean, but I'm betting it can be any kind of 3D, fake or not. Preferably wireframe/polygons, but I guess mode 7, raycasting or even Lotus-Turbo-Challenge-type 3D could do

Me neither. Is there a good emulator for the Prizm?
If so, maybe I could code something quick

There is the FX-cg manager from Casio site, but it's a 90 day trial.

^This, or of course the mini SDKs by cfxm, but I am not sure if it's up to date anymore, plus it might not be as complete.
Also to whoever participates, remember you only have 13 ish hour left, since the contest ends at 4:59 PM (10:59 PM france time)

I don't think I can enter as the Prizm manager doesn't work properly/fast enough.
Maybe an other time.
