Apps that work:
Calcsys
Graph3
Calcutil
MirageOS
Axe

Apps that don't work:
Krolypto (crashed upon password entry)
DCS

Will keep trying more
Crashed scrolling down the apps menu, crashed every time it's turned on even after debug > reset.  Now it refuses to respond to any keypresses.

Ah ok, sorry I didn't get that part. I guess that's good to keep some stuff not too public.

Darl181 on Krolypto did you get an ERR:INVALID or did it just crash? I don't remember if that one was even tested at all on any MP OS.

This is just horrendous... I'm awestruck at TI, I never thought they'd follow through on trying to bring down the community, but this seems like the first step.

I installed it, put in a password, and set it to password protect upon startup.
Turned off, turned back on, entered password, hit enter, bam.

I know that as the TI community (or anti-TI community), we can find exploits.  There is a big problem in that this new os will make it harder for newcomers to install games.  If newcomers are not able to play games, fewer will be inspired to write games.  If this trend continues, the TI Community will vanish into thin air.  :(

Today is one of the saddest days in Z80 history.  :'(

The more I read this, the worse I feel. I think I'm crying myself to sleep tonight, too.

's okay Freyaday !_! It's okay to cry when something so sad has happened. I think Brie (my calc) is going to cry when I break the news to her.

September (my calc) is quaking in fear atm, and my shaky reassurances aren't helping her in the slightest.

Edit: some good news About Sen. Giffords has cheered me up a bit.

I take solace in the fact that this was pulled almost immediately after it was posted to TI's website.  Maybe this is all just a horrible mistake.
My website: Currently boring.

Projects:
Axe Interpreter
   > Core: Done
   > Memory: Need write code to add constants.
   > Graphics: Rewritten.  Needs to integrate sprites with constants.
   > IO: GetKey done.  Need to add mostly homescreen IO stuff.
Croquette:
   > Stomping bugs
   > Internet version: On hold until I can make my website less boring/broken.

I hope, although I don't think they would go through the process of removing the ASM commands during a mistake x.x. My bet is that they planned the removal of ASM support and updated code, but the OS still had some bugs and they wanted to wait before releasing it, but someone didn't listen and put it online anyway. The ASM stuff seems intentional, while I am not as sure about the TI-BASIC changes.

On a side note, OpenLib/ExecLib are still in CATALOG it seems. Could they be used to run ASM libs in some ways? (Unless in the final version they got removed too?)

[offtopic]@Zeda: Better, appearently. They've introduced a bill in her honor that would increase (more like create) cell reception at the border, that way Border Patrol can communicate better.[/offtopic]
My brother, who isn't a programmer in the slightest, offers his condolences to the entire community and hopes we feel better soon.

So, um, I managed to get BatLib up and working. For Hot_Dog, instead of using the bcall to set the parser hook, do this:

Code: [Select]
ld (9BACh),hl
 ld (9BAEh),a
 set 1,(iy+36h)
