Is there some sort of table with all these boot options on it?
In other news, Frey continues kicking unprecedented levels of ass.

I have a feeling they're gonna make the ti-nspire have more programming capabilities and this just less. And eventually make it impossible to downgrade?
Maybe someone's gotta contact TI before its too late.

This is really silly on TI's part.

TI is really hurting its user base with this move.

Part of the functionality of the TI-84 is the ability to write useful programs to automate tasks.
By crippling the OS, this functionality is severely impaired.

    • nothing...
Couldn't this be meant for the 84+ emulator on the current nspire?
Maybe they will add more programming functionalities to the CX, and take them from the nspire.

Whatever it is, I don't like it.

Perhaps we can make their OS better.

I say, as a community, we should ban together and make TI's OS blazing fast.
Then, rerelease it as a new OS version.
Bug me about my book.

Sarah: TI-83 Plus Silver Edition [OS 1.19]
Cassie: TI-86 [OS 1.XX]

It'd probably be waaay smaller too.

And wow. Really TI?

Spoiler For Projects:

My projects haven't been worked on in a while, so they're all on hiatus for the time being. I do hope to eventually return to them in some form or another...

Spoiler For Pokemon TI:
Axe port of Pokemon Red/Blue to the 83+/84+ family. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia:
My big personal project, an original RPG about dimensional travel and a few heroes tasked with saving the world.
Coding-wise, on hold, but I am re-working the story.

Spoiler For Finale's Super Insane Tunnel Pack of Doom:
I will be combining Blur and Collision Course into a single gamepack. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia Origins: Sky's Story:
Prequel to Nostalgia. On hold, especially while the story is re-worked.

I actually agree with Yeong. TI tries to cut of even more programming capabilities every time they update :(

Interesting... hopefully TI never release this officially.
Nicely, we've already started to find workarounds :D
We can fix the broken portions and have something that's a lot like... 2.55MP, I guess.
Nothing to stop us from patching this like we can with all the other OS's (thanks to polypatch :))

Spoiler For "PartesOS links":
I'll put it online when it does something.

Hehe, I've been having fun with it, actually :D It crashes a lot for no valid reason, but other than that, you can use an App to work around not being able to use asm programs and you can make code that performs bcalls to make a workaround :D  If this comes out, I am definitely going to work on a programming environment and language :D

Also, I couldn't sleep last night :( I still haven't told Brie...

If TI publishes this OS, we should definitely organize a boycott of TI hardware, telling people to not buy the Nspire. If they're trying to get Nspire sales, we hit them where it hurts--in the Nspire sales.

Perhaps this was TI's idea of an April Fools joke?

I'm right there with you, Scout. We should really message TI and threaten to organize a boycott of the Nspire if they kill asm support in the 84+ models.

How would such boycott work though?
