Almost all lucky 7s

To my great surprise, considering
last year's August activity
, Omnimaga has managed to break an activity record for an August month this morning. Currently we are at 2196 posts and the record was 2161, set in 2006. It is almost all lucky 7s because not only this is the 7th month in a row that a month-specific activity record is broken, but August record was almost broken in 7 days! In fact, at 12 AM GMT-5, only 10 more posts were needed to break the record.
Still on the subject of record, a total of 36308 messages and topics were posted since the beginning of the year, meaning that not only Omnimaga has beaten MaxCoderz's 2005 record of 34918 (I have stats since 2005, but archive.org caches indicates that none of the z80 forums broke the 34000 bar in 2003 and 2004), but it will soon break Cemetech's 2006 record of 36520 as well. Afterward, the only higher activity ever seen in the entire TI community will be yAronet around 2002-2004, where they were getting around 70000 posts a year.
UPDATE: Cemetech's 2006 record was now broken, meaning Omnimaga 2010 is now the busiest year from 2005 to 2010 and the busiest year since 2002 with the exception of yAronet from 2002 to 2004.

I wonder if we can break that record of 70000 posts. We are already more than half way there and if we see a large activity spike in the beginning of the school year with questions about Nspire stuff/Axe, we have a possibility of beating the record!

I truly believe there is a chance we can top 70,000 posts. Just keep on posting everyone!

Yeah, we need to post more in the OTCalc forum and Axe forum. It's the best way to earn more posts.

What SirCmpwn said. Many unnecessary posts == hard-to-read topics == less interest in checking them == fewer activity. I'M also not as active as I used to be so if there's an activity increase it will surely not be by me
I'm glad this summer did not drop too much in activity, though. We had a drop of 750 posts from June to July 2010 instead of 500 last year and 300 in 2006, but the total for the month was so incredibly high compared to the past years that this decrease of 750 barely made a difference.
What we need to do is preserve the community free of hostility and open to any kind of game development and innovations that we got right now and the site will continue to remain active. At the rate things are going right now and based on previous years, I expect between 50000 and 60000 for this year. It could be higher if activity continues to increase, though. Currently we average higher than 5000 a month and generally, November and December are slightly more active than Summer. The only real activity drop that could happen is if our current memberbase happen to be extremly busy during school year and have to leave Omnimaga until next June.

As for now Omni has 36546, making it the busiest forum year in the entire TI community since 2005.

Too bad Simple Machine Forums (SMF) is not a slot machine or one more 7 and jackpot for all of us.
ahahaha
Who could guess the records would be broken in so little time since this forum incarnation started?
EDIT: having consideration for the activity on other forums at the time it started

Well you have to keep in mind it took a bit more than an entire year before this incarnation of Omni gets activity similar to what it had back in the days or higher, though. The old board took about 7 months before reaching 2500-4000 a month and that was with 3 other very active boards around at the time.

Nice to see you still around Noahbaby94. I hope you are less busy eventually with school
And yeah, by march it skyrocketed but then in June it still continued to increase until Summer. Hopefully that will last for a while.
