Axe Contest ending soon!
« on: September 14, 2010, 02:48:54 pm »
A reminder to everyone who is participating to Omnimaga's Axe Parser Programming Contest: the deadline is approaching extremly fast. 1 day, 9 hours and 11 minutes after posting this news article, the deadline will have arrived. Do not wait at the very last minute to submit your entry. This will not only speed up the start of the judging process, but this will avoid you bad surprises (such as RAM Clears, missing files or bugs) near the end. Backup frequently (not just the RAM) and good luck! We can't wait to see what you will come up with!

Don't forget to send your game source code, Axe version used and instructions to 2010axecontest [AT] gmail [DOT] com. Opon arrival, entries will be scanned to make sure they abide by the rules stated here, then thursday night or friday evening, the entries will be made public for voting, while we judge the entries on our side.

Wow, this is coming up fast x.x
I really need to bust my ass on Advance Wars, it looks great, but isn't done.  I'm on an old version of Axe, too, on account of not being able to send things to my calculator.  I won't have time to upgrade my Axe version.

And just to add a clarification: While I do encourage open-source, if you want your source code to remain private for any reason, please indicate that in the submission email.  You still have to submit the source code to the judges to make sure there was no asm usage or other violations of the rules, but only the executable will be made public with your entry.

I love porting games :) You'll find almost 100% of all my games are ports.  This excludes only a few such as Serenity.

Well, if he knows Axe, maybe he can manage to pull something in one hour like Raylin did with a RPG ;D

Also good luck people!

Weee!  Working on my entry on the last day!  I'll have something playable by the end of the day.  No doubt about it.  Lets hope GMail doesn't catch me with slow sending speeds :)
