Technology & Math sub-forums added
« on: January 01, 2011, 01:27:51 am »
Happy New Year!

Per request, two new sub-forums were added in the Random Discussion sub-section of Omnimaga. The first one is Technology, Hardware and Electronics, for those who want to discuss about new gadgets, computers, robotics or even ask for computer advice and showcase their electronic creations or mods. Discussion about gaming handheld and consoles as well as specific games or genres shall remain in the Gaming sub-forum, though. The other sub-forum that was added is Math and Science discussion. As always, since we try to keep a focus on calculator game development, this is why those sections are gathered in one place, unlike development and calculator ones.

In addition to that, several topics (about 100) were moved last night, but to avoid flooding the chat room with moved topic notices from Spybot45, we did not set up redirect topics. Basically, your topic is not gone: it's just elsewhere. If it's recent you can locate it easily via the New Posts section, otherwise you will need to check the forums directly. Most moved topics were located in the Miscellaneous Discussion sub-forum. Our apologies for the inconveniences this might cause.

They're not in Randomness, they're in Random Discussion. In other words, they're at the same location as the gaming and anime section. I do not think I need to answer your question as I already did in my first post. Not sure why you're whining about it when you know I thrived to make sure Omni remains as game-only as possible. Plus you should be happy I at least add them at all instead of once again questioning every moderator/admin actions I take (it was partially your fault if I demoted myself from admin one week ago, after all). -1 on your post.

Me, I'm good at math but I don't like it :P
The technology sub forum is a good idea.

Well, my only concern is that they won't show up in OmnomIRC or anything, nor will they raise post count.  I do see your point on game-only, though.  I am happy you added them, and I'm not whining about that. The only part I'm not sure of is if they will show up in omnomIRC or not.  I see they do now, and am okay with it.

They'll both show up on OmnomIRC and raise post count. Random Discussion section != Randomness sub-section

Oh, okay, that's good to know. Thanks, and sorry for being part of the reason you had to take a break.  Here's to a great 2011, though!

Thx, good to know. I think the name "Random Discussion" is a bit misleading, though. Miscellaneous would be a better choice of name.

Yeah, I just didn't want to have duplicate forum names.
