In a way I agree with Ashbad that I'm glad Casio made many mistakes in their OS and left out many features (in addition to easy coding).
1. No 84+ emulator, well that's kinda expected because they're not TI. The thing is on the nspire which has the 84+ emulator, but lacks many ports, is missing undocumented instructions, and is slower than the 84+, there is little incentive to make a new one because the current one seems mostly sufficient. But now on the Prizm we don't already have an emu so we now have the opportunity to make a near perfect one.

2. No CAS. Well I still expect Casio to eventually make a CAS version of the Prizm, but if they don't we can still make a better one :)

3. Slow BASIC language. When I say slow I mean like 6 hours to fill the screen using only pxl-on. It also has bugs too when drawing special text. But the good thing is that it has far more commands than 84+ BASIC and these are useful commands such as break and do while. Also a large set of string based commands too. So what do we do? Make a new BASIC interpreter! ;D

4. Not a bug, but great BASIC IDE. What it lets you do is insert lines, lets you rename files, lets you lock files, and gives you easy access to a large set of special characters. To get the best use of this why not make an Axe port?

5. No 3D graphs. need I say more

6. Yes I will say more. Lua -END MESSAGE-

List of stuff I need to do before September:
1. Finish the Emulator of the Casio Prizm (in active development)
2. Finish the the SH3 asm IDE/assembler/linker program (in active development)
3. Create a partial Java virtual machine  for the Prizm (not started)
4. Create Axe for the Prizm with an Axe legacy mode (in planning phase)
5. Develop a large set of C and asm libraries for the Prizm (some progress)
6. Create an emulator of the 83+ for the Prizm (not started)
7. Create a well polished game that showcases the ability of the Casio Prizm (not started)

I was kind of thinking Java, because no one knows Lua, but whatever :p

EDIT: Looks like Lua only has 35 or so opcodes. That's pretty reasonable compared to the 200+ Java opcodes, even if you have to do a lot more to unpack them.

EDIT2: 37 opcodes, but they're much higher level than Java's opcodes.

I'm convinced that the frustration in understanding TI occurs because we expect them to do intelligent things but they can't because they are a group of incompetent people making bad decisions.  "Stupid is as stupid does."  For example in introducing a new OS there is a risk and the back up position is to go back to the previous OS but they stupidly cut off that option. So expect ti to do something stupid and you won't be surprized.

Yeah, at one point T3 actually blamed the bricks on TNOC/Ndless :P

Only to find themselves contradicted by facts, since some of the people affected by the problem didn't know what TNOC and Ndless are, so they could hardly have used [them] :D
Unfortunately, that won't teach these people (some of whom are extremely narrow-minded) a lesson.

TI, think before you say. Just leave us the way we are and please, PLEASE give calculators their programming capabilities back.

The programming abilities help students learn. You can slightly regulate it but don't bring it to the level of Nspire-Basic please. we should not have to make our own programs for programming.
I currently don't do much, but I am a developer for a game you should totally try out called AssaultCube Reloaded download here https://assaultcuber.codeplex.com/
